Capitol building overrun by protesters

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
Not surprising. People are very angry that nothing is being done about the mounting body count in school shootings.
More like bussed in out of state I'll bet by the leftest rabble.

I'm curious as to how many in that mob actually lives in Tennessee?

An angry mob estimated to be over 1,000 people overran a Capitol building. The mob took over the lobby of the building and caused a disruption of the legislative session. They attempted to enter the legislative chambers and fought with the police trying to keep them out. Three legislators supported the mob.

Three Democrat state lawmakers join protesters invading Tennessee state capitol
Looking at the videos, I don't see anyone fighting with police. I see protestors arguing with police, but no fighting. The Democratic reps shouted "power to the people" over a megaphone.

Shrug.

Another insurrection?
No, no one was attempting to overthrow the government or prevent the peaceful transfer of power. This was basically a sit-in, occupy protest. Here's a different account than Faux News...

"Hundreds of school children, teens and parents gathered at the Tennessee Capitol on Thursday to protest for tighter gun controls laws three days after a shooter opened fire at The Covenant School, killing three children and three adults.

At the Capitol, protestors lined the hallways and chanted at the state's Republican-dominated Legislature as they filed in to begin taking up bills for the first time since the shooting.

Chants of "Save our children!" echoed noisily in the hallways between the state Senate and House chambers, with protesters setting up shop inside and outside the Capitol. Some silently filled the Senate chamber's gallery, including children who held signs reading "I'm nine" — a reference to the age of the three kids who died in Monday's attack. Most protesters were removed from the gallery after some began yelling down at the lawmakers, "Children are dead!"

Meanwhile, in the House, two Democratic lawmakers caused a temporary shutdown when they began yelling, "Power to the people" through a megaphone.

Looks like a peaceful protest to me. Unlike the insurrection on Jan 6 who attacked the heart of America and our Constitution.
BTW, terrible source. Fox tries so hard to equate the too. I guess their insinuation works on low-information voters.
You would think that if someone wanted their thread to be taken seriously that they would've used credible and objective sources.

Not for a lack of searching. Most of the left wing media are ignoring the story. You would think they would cover it if they were credible and objective.

A protest that took over a state Capitol's facilities and disrupted the legislature. All that is excused by you because you think you know their intentions.

Yeah, that's called a "sit-in". Here, educate yourself...

??????? I don't have to "think" I know, they were pretty explicit about their intent.

No you don't know their intent. Please provide a list of the names of all the "peaceful protesters" so we can verify their intentions. You must know their names if you know their intentions.

You are making my point. Most of those sources don't discuss the fighting between the protesters and the police. They ignored that part of the story. They lack credibility by omission.
