Have you noticed how many Catholics have been nominated for the office of President?

Just off the top of my head, there is
  • Al Smith
  • John Kennedy
  • Robert Kenedy
  • John Kerry

Are there more? Is this unique or are other religious faiths represent as much?

Im not sure exactly. However, I do know that many of our (American) founding fathers were deists.
