Celebrating the men of Religious Forums!

Feathers in Hair

Just to ward off any worries, this thread is not about "Check out those dimples on Rex!" or "Aren't TVOR and NetDoc so hott?!"-type of celebrating! (We can always do that in the Super Secret Womens' Forum... *clamps hand over mouth* Whoops, I keep forgetting that's supposed to be secret.)

This is to honor the men in these forums that remind us why some guys are just so gosh-darn cool. Many of us here on RF didn't grow up with the best father figure, if we grew up with any, so the kindness, gentleness and wonderful wit of many who post here continually reminds us of what is positive about that lovely Y chromosome. (Which is not to say that all positive males have to fall into a 'father figure' category. Many here display wit and wisdom beyond their chronological age, and it is an honor to know them, as well.)

Since I started the thread, I don't want to single out anyone to be celebrated first. Who here do you find inspiring and why? (And, naturally, you don't have to be female to mention someone who has made your day a little brighter!)

Thank you Majikthise :). It is appreciated. I was always told to talk softly and carry a bi...wait. Where did I put that stick?

For someon on this forum that makes my day brighter, there are many I could mention, Soul, NetDoc, Scott, Spinks, TVOR, but I'll have to single out Deut.

So often his posts on scholarship or politics simply make my day. They are intelligent, and always concise :).

I'll add Pah to the list! He makes me think, which is always a plus. Sunstone and Kreeden have a way with words, and Druidus reminds me that old souls can reside in younger bodies.

I enjoy the postings of a lot of the male posters here in our family. The ones already mentioned and others.

Master Vigil always offers many wise and thought-provoking posts in many of the threads, and he responds without devaluing anyone's beliefs. He is definitely a great member of this family.

SoulType's stories show us how each of us can come together and leave our differences behind for the greater good.

I have recently noticed that t3gah has added information in the Native American forums. This shows me that although he may be on one path he is open to learning about other paths that are represented. This makes me happy and I would like to take this opportunity to apologize publically to t3gah for stating in some of his threads that he was closed-minded. I was wrong and I gladly acknowledge that.
Please accept my apologies, t3gah, for my being as closed-minded about you as I perceived you to be about other paths.

I'm afraid I'd have to issue t3gah that same apology. He's really opened up and allowed us to get to know him, and I honor him in that path.

Speaking of people on their paths, how 'bout that Michel, eh? His avatar may represent the Fool, but only (in my opinion) in that he's celebrating setting out on his journey and has wide-open eyes that witness the beauty in everything.

Sunstone is always well- balanced in his posts, but they always seem to reflect the kindness in his soul.

There's so many more... *straining brain* Ow!

Why thank you. :) This place is really great, and there are many great assets here.

All males in RF are gentlemales.
Without the physical opening of doors or tipping hats.
But I am sure that if they could, they would.

That's perfect, Mrs C! (And especially true for your delightful husband.) To steal and paraphrase from Terry Pratchett, 'they aren't gentlemen, they're gentle men.' (The person speaking it didn't think highly of the former.) I think the guys here on RF are both.

(It never ceases to amaze me how you can find exactly the right picture for the occasion!)

Thanks, Feathers. I try to be even more "fair and balanced" than the Fox Network.:D

NetDoc knows what he is talking about all the time :) he is the master of possessing the quote:

"You must spread some karma around before giving it to NetDOc again."
