If you could change one thing about your religion what would it be? Why?
Do you think others of your religious affiliation would agree with you? Why or why not?

I think I'ma become a Universalist Unitarian. I spoke with my nearby church and will be learning more about it. That, and I've never put my whole trust in a community to help each other in our spiritual growth. I think Ima make that jump either this Sunday or next week when I have education about the faith both it's political social justice motives and organizations to be involved in. As well as the foundation of the two denominations (unitarian and universalist), why they got together, and basically, how the intent and focused changed throughout the years til today etc.
Couple things that bothered me at the get-go is the sermons are heavy on politics. Which I like in what I want to do; and, it does make the church seem less religious and more a political party. (Liberal Progressive Church)
The other is I'm not used to being in an all Caucasian church. I was listening to different sermons around United States and the congregations look about the same. One pastor actually mentioned they needed more diversity. She said the "white" people have a chance to learn about black culture in a workshop by joining black people as well as have their own. I can't remember where they lived but that perturbed me.
Where I live, my congregation, a gentleman said, in good humor, that they finally have "someone of color" in the pews. A token of sorts. We laughed.
They don't treat me different; but, it makes me uncomfortable nonetheless.
Do others see the same thing? Most likely. There are many minorities here from race, orientation, political affiliation, and general personalities. So, it depends on what one wants to get out of it. If it's just religious, I'd say it depends on preference. If one wants to help others in need, I'd say this is a good place to start.
