China state media accuses U.S. politicians of spreading 'political virus'

Just what in the heck is a "political virus"?

BEIJING (Reuters) - Some United States politicians are using coronavirus as a weapon to smear China, the Xinhua official news agency said on Sunday, as a war of words escalated between the two countries over China’s handling of the epidemic.

The editorial accused Robert O’Brien, the U.S. national security adviser, and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo of spreading a “political virus” and using it to put China down.

O’Brien said last week that China had reacted slowly to the coronavirus, probably costing the world two months when it could have been preparing, in remarks that angered China.

Pompeo has said the U.S. response to the coronavirus outbreak had been hindered by what he called imperfect data from China.

However Xinhua said China’s actions including strict quarantine of millions of people had earned the world “precious time” to prepare for the epidemic, which has been recognized by the international community.

It added that the U.S. efforts to deal with its own virus cases had been widely criticized.

If there is a "political virus" in the U.S., I have a feeling it will be much more difficult to inoculate against than the coronavirus.

I guess we need some sort of vaccine against politics. Any ideas?

If there is a "political virus" in the U.S., I have a feeling it will be much more difficult to inoculate against than the coronavirus.

I guess we need some sort of vaccine against politics. Any ideas?

So, it's probably in relation to this. They are calling it a political virus, to insinuate that by the US calling it the Wuhan or Chinese Virus, it automatically adds a negative political slant on China as a whole.

Every life on Earth is a human, a sister or a brother.

None of us want to be harmed.

How about just honouring life as an honourable human and then maybe your own life will be honoured.

Humans claim in modern life that we have come to a moment when we are meant to realize all of our past life chosen mistakes and rectify how we behave today.

I wonder why humanity is given teaching conscious self advice....claim I want to be saved and prayed as a multi world community to be saved yet ignore our own advice.
