Since the Trump administration in its utter stupidity backed us out of the TPP, China is turning more towards trade with both other Asian countries and also Europe, and the latter also is seeking more Asian trade because the U.S. is no longer a dependable partner. Even though this is the case, the effect will take a while to hit because previous contracts are still in place by & large.
