I am deeply saddened by this blasphemous album. I love Gun n' Roses, and as much as I also love Buckethead, he is still no Slash. Why GNR would even think about going on without Slash is just dumb. I know Axle Rose really has some issues, but a GNR without Slash just isn't Guns N' Roses.

Well, I guess when it takes you 17 years or so to get a second album made, you risk losing your original drummer among other things (?)

Yeah, I forgot about the drummer. I honestly don't think I'll ever get over a Slashless GNR album. It's like Santana would be if they lost Carlos and tried to carry on without him.

Axl, I believe, owns the Guns 'n' Roses name.

Unless perhaps, some of the songs were in part written by original members.

remember though, that at one point, in 1984(?) there was only Tony Iommi in Black Sabbath who was from the original four-man lineup. (and unless I'm mistaken, that's around about the 11th Black Sabbath lineup).

This wasn't a Guns N Roses album, this was an Axl Rose and Hired Guns album.

He's already beaten me to ripping it to shreds for my school newspaper. :p

I know that I am in the minority, but I actually really liked this CD. Besides the first song which shares the album title, all of the songs are quite good. The man is 46 years old and still sounds just as good as he did 20 years ago. That has to be worth something, right? Some of these songs, such as Riad 'n the Bedouins, Scraped, and Catcher in the Rye could have all been on the older GNR stuff and couldn't have sounded much better, even with the Slash of 20 years ago. And if you love the old GNR ballads, This I Love is an absolutely beautiful one. I am looking forward to seeing these guys on tour, as this CD has far surpassed my expectations...

Although I will agree with most and say that it shouldn't have taken over a decade to put this CD out...

I'd be careful with seeing them live. Axle has a very nasty rep of walking off early, if he even shows up at all.

Even back in their height, he had a mean streak. Ever see the clip of him stage diving people and start throwing punches?
