christians are supposed to see other people as brothers. our society wants people to exploit other people so to make money. What teachings of Christ does society reject people for following?
not in the slightest. Our society was built around catering to the lifestyle of Christians.
you just said that society doesn't provide for the needy. society expects for individuals to care and only if someone cares. the society is ruled by the antichrist.Do you know what happens in our society if a group of Christians start a campaign to help the needy?
tax breaks=money=the antichristThe government gives them and everyone who donates to them tax breaks.
society is hypocritical. it's not christian at all.For those of us who have to hide our beliefs from christian friends, family, and coworkers (or suffer very real world repercussions), they might find your premise a bit hypocritical...
we are supposed to live a christian life, that's why, and society forbids it. society has fake christians. Why would you care about being rejected by society?
money.Who the heck is the antichrist?
can you help homeless people yes or no?That is patently not true, you cannot speak for the whole of society.
christians are ruled by money. money is the antichrist. Why is that? Because Christians can't make everyone follow their rules? Modern society does not stop Christians from following them. Do Christians really need agreement from everyone else?
christians are ruled by money. money is the antichrist.
@syo (and maybe @BilliardsBall ):
- what do you see as the elements of a "Christian lifestyle?"
- which of these elements do you think today's society does not allow?
- if a society did allow Christians to live a "Christian lifestyle," what would that society look like?
In the West, Christians are catered to more than any other group.not in the slightest.
No, I didn't.you just said that society doesn't provide for the needy.
So you want society to support Christian charity less?tax breaks=money=the antichrist
So you think nobody starved in the medieval or ancient periods? Do you think beggars are a comparatively recent phenomena?I doubt it.
Kinda sorta. IMO, the fact that Christmas is derived from Pagan practices doesn't make it "not Christian." It just means that this aspect of Christianity is derivative.
A religion is defined by the beliefs and practices of its adherents, not by whether some practice of its adherents was handed down in a way that meets the criteria for authenticity that are held by a subset of the adherents of the religion.
Christians celebrate Christmas as an expression of their religion. That makes Christmas Christian, regardless of its origins.
if I did that, I'd become an outcast. So disavow money if you hate it so much.

beggars existed in the past and they were treated humanely. So you think nobody starved in the medieval or ancient periods? Do you think beggars are a comparatively recent phenomena?
Yeah but there was something about eating fish on friday and I know some groups will not touch black pudding. There's no such things as dietary rules. In the NEw Testament, God says we can eat whatever
if I did that, I'd become an outcast.
