Christian Sharia Law in America

Is the article pretty close to being on base? Or is it way off? Is it a just comparison to call it Christian sharia? How far is the Christian push to unite "god's law" and politics going to be until they go completely against the constitution and even common decency?

With Sharia the laws are written into the religion. With Christianity the laws is being "fulfilled" by Christ and Christ didn't always take to strict accordance to laws. In America some of the heavy conservative type christains want gods law written into the constitution but Christianity isn't supposed to be about making people abide. Christianity is supposed to be about forgiveness. They are picking on certain sins, we have enough laws based on common sense and not absolute laws that only make sense in certain situations. I found the comment from the reverend offensive that they need to change the constitution to be in par with Gods law.

People are mixing up religion and politics. That article wasn't about religion, it was about politics- a conservative thing. Sure, some of them may use their faith, but it isn't about faith it's about politics. It's not about Christians but about conservatives.
