Christian Trump Supporters

You didn't answer the question: did you support Trump's unpaid for tax break that mostly went to the wealthy, yes or no-- no song & dance please.
This in my opinion is a wrong way to look at things concerning taxes. Unpaid tax break??? How about the government tax less, prioritize spending, budget the money, get rid of wasteful spending, get rid of lobbyist and then we can talk. It’s not their money. I think we are over taxed across the board, but here is a breakdown:
Summary of the Latest Federal Income Tax Data, 2020 Update.

Most Americans actually support most of the provisions of the BBB and also the infrastructure bill, so obviously you're very much an outlier even amongst Republicans. Maybe if you looked harder and also tried to consider basic Judeo-Christian teachings you'd change your mind, maybe using the Sermon On the Mount as the model for example. Helping those in need is not a sin but refusing to help them out is.
I agree with the Sermon on the Mount, helping those in need etc. What I don’t agree with is how the Federal Government uses this to deceive people into accepting all their irresponsible spending practices. If you’re faithful in little you will be faithful in much, unfaithful in little unfaithful in much. They are close to 30 trillion in debt, no budget, wasteful spending, no accountability and I don’t support that. What I do support is the needs of the poor being met by the local government, churches, and citizens of each community (at the local level) where you live and actually help people in your community. I’d rather use my tax money for that than send more to the Federal Government. They have been unfaithful with money and shouldn’t get more.

I think you need to quote some scripture to support your contention first, don't you?

Let he who is without sin cast the first stone!

The reason many Christians supported Trump was he fought back against the same leftist mob that would often demonized them and constantly try to take away their religious rights. Trump fought against the hypocrisy of the self righteous left; PC, by pointing out their hypocrisy, and then doing onto them what they do to others.

The story of Trump is also similar to the conversion of Saul/Paul. Trump was once a wealthy Democrat donor who lived in NYC; Manhattan. He knew people in the highest positions of Democrat power. He knew their other snake face and donated to those who could benefit himself.

Just as Saul began as the worse critic of the Christians, after his conversion, he became their top advocate. Trump, although from a shady past of scandal was transformed into their best ally. He knew the way of the snakes and used their own tactics against the snakes.

If I recall, the Democrats initiated one of their most destructive lies and scams called the Russian Collusion Delusion, before and after Trump won the 2016 election. They broke many laws, such as spying but nobody was punished. This was a united Democrat party effort to destroy Trump and his family. He was too close at one time and was a threat.

The collusion delusion showed the true evil nature of the left. Most Christian could see a David and Goliath parallel. Christians tend to support the underdog. The problem was the Left became too arrogant of its power, and under estimated Trump's ability to fight the entire liberal media and political mob. Trump was able to control the narrative; Twitter, by moving fast and staying one step ahead. The left became increasingly unhinged as their gossip and pressure tactics fell flat. They soon lost the control of the masses that they once had. The two faced party of caring and sharing has shown its demon face.

This David and Goliath dynamics help to mobilize the religious community. The Left still blames Trump for being that one person who was able to take on and defeat the entire left wing media mob, no matter how much they lied and cheated. Now the pendulum is swinging the other way; to the right. This has caused the Democrats to push things too far left, too fast, which is further backfiring on them. As an example of the change in the pendulum, who would have ever thought Roe v Way would be in play.

What a waste of electrons.

You have failed to understand the meaning of my post, which was that the OP should support his own contention that scripture shows Trump to be unfit to be a ruler. But I expect you voted for Trump, so I should not really be surprised. :D

P.S. I notice you mention neither entropy nor hydrogen bonds. This is very unlike you.

The key to the recent debates can be found in a surprising place: the Sermon on the Mount, where Jesus told his disciples to turn the other cheek when struck, love their neighbor as themselves, and pray that their debts will be forgiven as they forgive their debtors.11 In the past generation, divergent interpretations of these teachings have given rise to competing visions of justice. President Trump’s supporters invariably hold one Biblical conception of justice, and his critics another.

So, by not answering the question through diversion [to Biden], you've answered it through default, and your answer reminds me of Jesus' criticism of many of the Pharisees that put mammon ahead of halacha [basic Jewish teachings]. You're trying to have it both ways, talking fiscal responsibility in regards to Biden's agenda while you obviously supported "aid" to the wealthy with Trump's tax cuts.

So, you've dissed the Sermon On the Mount's mandate that necessitates aiding the dispossessed. You've made your bed, so now you can lay in it. I guess we're done.

Jesus didn’t answer the exact question many times but gave an answer appropriate to the question, that’s what I did and I like the life I’m living. Have a good day

You're misrepresenting the collusion change that Mueller chose not to address in the impeachment charges. Was there collusion with the Russians with Trump's staff? Yes. Was Trump behind these? That has yet to be determined, at least legally.

BTW, why did Trump have a private meeting behind closed doors without any other American present, not even an American translator? That is unheard of in diplomatic circles. And why did he say he trusted Putin more than all of our intelligence agencies, including our military ones? And why did he ask the Russians to release Hillary's e-mails at one of his rallies, which they did that same exact evening?

You could vote for a party that vows to cut your military budget, but I seems cutting healthcare and public infrastructure is more popular among fundamentalist Christians.

I suppose the American Christian doctrine of FYIGM is to blame for this.

Wait a minute... Aren't you casting stones at Democrats by using combative disparaging words like "leftist mob," "the hypocrisy of the self-righteous left," "snake face," "true evil nature of the left," "the two faced party," and "demon face"? Isn't it casting stones at Democrats when you accuse them of lying, cheating, and breaking laws? And if I were to guess, I would say you're going to deny casting stones at the Democrats, aren't you? I'll admit that I could be totally mistaken about your response, but I don't think so. It seems to me (and others may agree) that you're guilty of casting stones yourself, only you're throwing stones at Democrats.

All the excuses we hear from Trump's Christian supporters of why they support him reek of hypocrisy, because these Christians never once turned a blind eye to the personal sins and controversial behavior of Bill Clinton or Barack Obama. And now they're more than willing to point a sanctimonious judgmental finger at Joe Biden, too. As far as I'm concerned, none of their pious rants about the Democrats should be taken seriously. If morality truly mattered to these Christians, then they wouldn't support Trump.

The Republican platform has very blatantly been antithetical to the teachings and examples of Christ. It seems rather bold and brazen for Christians to presume that their god would abide such hypocrisy and cherry picking.

There was a time when evangelicals upheld biblical principles and the personal character of the president was an important moral issue to them, but these values quickly eroded after Donald Trump announced his candidacy for president on the Republican ticket back in 2015. It didn't take long before the majority of these Christians began to sacrifice their own moral convictions on the altar of Trumpism, and Donald Trump became their Golden Calf. The rise of Trumpism clearly demonstrates that even the most devout Christians can be easily hoodwinked by a lying, cheating charlatan, who tickles their ears and tells them exactly what they want to hear. The rise and success of Trumpism in the Republican Party especially demonstrates that even devout Christians will forsake their moral convictions when it benefits them politically. It also shows that these conservative Christians aren't better people, or even more righteous, than the Democrats they berate and deride with derogatory names, like we saw earlier in the post I quoted.

I do believe that in the long run the religious right is hurting themselves, and this happened before to them a few decades ago as that movement has been usurped by connecting themselves to secular right-wing politics. By defending Trump at almost every turn, they've basically have excused his dishonesty, racism, and hedonism while pretending that this is somehow compatible with what Jesus taught.

As the old saying goes, "You are like the company you keep", and it's obvious with so many on the religious right that the "savior" they truly believe in is Donald J. Trump.
