Christian women, would it help men to be less lustful if women's clothing didn't show so much of...

...didn't show so much of their bodies?

Thanx for all answers. :)

Greetings & salutations sisters. :)

Hope your day is going well.

Sisters I wanted to ask, do you think that it would help men to be less lustful if women's clothing didn't show so much of their bodies? Todays dress styles expose women's bosoms, their forms, legs, etc.

Do you think that it would help men to be less lustful if dress styles for women didn't show so much?

Really????????????????????????
I can't even believe you posted this drivel in that INSULTING manner.
Man! Try to read your post again and see how inappropriate and ill conceived it
is. Pleeeeeeease?

O.K. Let me lay this out in PLAIN language.
You post says "all men are lustfull when the see a woman showing some skin".
GIVE ME A BREAK AND DON'T INSULT AN ENTIRE GENDER!

Please read this definition of LUST:
In religion[edit]
Religions, especially Christianity, separate the definition of passion and lust by further categorizing lust as an inappropriate desire or a desire that is inappropriately strong, therefore being morally wrong. While passion for proper purposes is maintained as something God given and moral.

Lust suggest very negative emotions in our culture.
When I see a woman dressed in a manner that shows a lot of skin I don't have LUSTFUL
desires.

Lust at merely seeing a female showing lots of skin could be a sign of psycho ill adaptive
behavior. Geeesh!

I'm not a Christian but I don't think it matters what women wear. They have a choice. Men also have a choice whether or not to act on their lust. They can either be civilised and control it, or blame women for their actions.

I see.

So you do think that men would be helped to not be so lustful if women's clothing didn't show as much as they do? :)

I think that women's bodies are perfectly natural, as are men's.
Blaming the victim for not covering up "properly" is wrong.

My opinion as an ex-Christian youth pastor is that women should be allowed to go topless.
You know why? Because I'm just lustful and like to look?
Not that I wouldn't look, but no, that's not why.

Men (in my area at least) are allowed to go topless, and thus, women should be allowed to do the same.
Breasts are not primarily sexual objects for men to dictate the exposure of, they belong to the women attached to them and are actually meant for breastfeeding babies.

Shocking, I know.

People in general are just lustful and we have very good imaginations. So no, I don't think so. I mean, I don't think women walking around wearing very revealing clothes is particularly tasteful, and I certainly don't do it, but it's not up to me what other folks wear.

little I don't get "lustful".
Do I look? Well...................yeah!
Do I touch? Aw common get real.

First of all I think you getting desire and lust confused.
Lust is an objective , desire subjective
My answer is NO I would never sexually assault a female no matter how pretty or naked she was .

Yes! This^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^.
Sure I look at a pretty lady wearing almost nothing at a beach.
The same lady dressed that way at a shopping mall would be way out of place.
Listen. Served as a cop. On some occasions we'd respond to calls of someone
wondering around naked, (usually drunk as a skunk or high on dope)
We'd take the blanket out of the trunk and cover then and transport
to the E.R.
Sexual? Aw please.

I think the OP's proposal would serve well to teach men to be morally weak and irresponsible, rather than learning to cope with, and take responsibility for, their own feelings.

It was not about that.

Women according to the Bible were made to help men.

I was asking their thoughts on helping men.
