I’m going to speak as a former Christian...
  • Christians get Shiva and Vishnu confused, at best. At worst, they have complete ignorance [not in the pejorative sense, ignorance meaning “unknowledge”, yes it’s a word I made up].
  • Totally irrelevant, if not somewhat interesting, given their iconography.
  • False gods [my personal favorite] that we devotees will one day regret worshiping when we get booted into the lake of fire to be eternally tormented for not worshiping the One True God. :p

Had to read their Wikis a little bit. I'd say probably demons. As it says in Psalm 95 (LXX/Vulgate): "for all the gods of the Gentiles are devils: but the Lord made the heavens." They probably exist but not as any creator, preserver, destroyer, Brahman aspect or anything (since demons can not do any of that but only God can). Such is my opinion.

Some christians believe the gods of pagans is demons.

Some christians believe that the pagans have misunderstood God, since they believe In many gods when in reality God is only one.
So the christians believe that the different gods the pagans believe in is in reality different atributtes of the one God. So a god who is most loving is the attribute love. And the god who is most just, is the attribute justice

Christians have a preoccupation with demons absent in almost every other religion. Most religions have their evil beings, but not to the extent Christianity has. In Christianity everything that is not God or an angel is a demon, no matter how benevolent. The “demons” (which is usually a western mistranslation) of other religions don’t usually interact with or care about humans, but rather they antagonize the gods.

shiva is similar to the destroying angels of the OT and the one known as abaddon in revelation. vishnu is similar to the idea of the redeemer. but if you understand god, both are aspects of the same ONE. so the manifestation of the will, the spirit, implies its connection to the action and not separate from the ONE.

the physical aspect appears different culturally and based on environment. but the action is the same no matter where you're from. death can come in many forms but it has the same result in action. life can come in many forms but it has the same action.

so self shouldn't judge by looks but by action. pretty is as pretty does.

Loving God and my neighbor as myself.
Christians believe there is only one God (albeit in three persons). Any form of polytheism is seen as false teaching by them.
