Christians: How do you know Lucifer is evil?

It seems to me the devil called Satan or Lucifer promotes ignorance. Conscious igorance is evil imo.
Someone I heard recently on Youtube said "everyone is doing the best they can". That is not true. The reason I think people are not doing the best they can is the thing called satan.

Lucifer is the light bringer, the morning/evening star. Jesus is referred to as both of these terms in the Bible. Hence, in my opinion Jesus is Lucifer.

Satan just means adversary... or someone who is different from me. Satan is a term coined by the Essenes, derived from the term ah-satan, and originally meant someone who was not an Essene. It doesn't really mean what people think it means.
That is correct. Everyone differing from The I Am can rightly be termed Satan, but really satan with a small s. It is not a person and teaching it is a person is satanic because it is not the truth. The adversary satan is against peace. But I don't know about the Essenes sorry.

To be aiming for this is godliness. To be fighting it is satanic. There is no leader in the fight against God imo.
The Jehovah's Witnesses teach that the wicked one has power. But it is written this way: καὶ ὁ κόσμος ὅλος ἐν τῷ πονηρῷ κεῖται
and the world whole in the evil lies.

Evil in this context is not a person. It is an attitude. The attitude is what is good enough for my daddy is good enough for me. It is about ignorance which is blindness which leads you in the dark where you will fall into a pit. A pit is not a good place to be.
The wicked one is the opposite of power. It is about not knowing. The whole world is not knowing God. There are a few knowing The Righteous One but not many. Can there be a pit big enough for the world to fall into together? I think so. It is what those claiming to know God are anticipating.
1 John 5: 18 We know that everyone who has been born from God does not practice sin, but the one born from God watches him, and the wicked one cannot take hold of him. 19 We know that we originate with God, but the whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one. 20 But we know that the Son of God has come, and he has given us insight so that we may gain the knowledge of the one who is true. And we are in union with the one who is true, by means of his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and life everlasting. 21 Little children, guard yourselves from idols.

The last words of Jesus were "all power has been given me in heaven and on earth" so anyone teaching satan has power is making Jesus a liar or in company with Satan.

Another definition for satan is adversary. What if you are a satan of hate? Or a satan of ignorance? Or a satan of war?
And you should check out the Essenes. I think you would like a lot of their cosmology and teachings. On another interesting note. It is assumed that their was a large Essene establishment within walking distance of the assumed location of Nazareth. I believe that particular Essene establishment was Mt. Carmel.
I like that verse.
Going with your satan as an attitude theme, which I agree with, along with satan being defined as adveserial. Would it be evil to be satanic toward dividing the spirit?
I don't really understand all of this, but what is your opinion of Lucifer vs. Satan?

Thank you. I might. The Essenes are decendants of Israel. Israel is my teacher. I am not Jewish. But I have not signed up with the company I can pay to search it for me. Somewhere I might be Jewish.

I think so. On the other hand is there anything 100% evil? I think not.
I don't know. If I spend time pondering it I suppose I would be a satanist. I am not.
I think it is a way of life. It is not a person imo. It is an attitude personified as a person, absolutely. Is personifying it cause it to develope over time? I fear yes. People are able to birth a Satan. I think the dreams people dream that are able to come true do.
I think nothing in the Bible can be proved. What can be proved?

I just have to look at the state of the world that he rules over.
Its not exactly a place of goodness, joy and happiness. He influences mankind to behave the way he wants to see them behaving.

Dawn means a beginning of understanding in this context imo. I know it is a fact that without faith in God witnessing any little truth about God is able to lead a person along their own rational then they become a son of the dawn, the dawn giving birth to who they become. It's called leaning on understanding. Proverbs 3:5 which is a perfect example because man's rational added the word "own" there. It says on understanding do not lean but got changed to on your own understanding do not lean.

I consider myself a satan of ignorance, personally.
My uncle did that for half of our family line. It was pretty cool. I found at my dad's side of the family was descendent of the Bruce family, which was the main lord in Braveheart lol.
LOL, this is true, and it was definitely a compliment. You deserve it.
I personally think it could be both.
I can't prove they are the same being in scripture, but I can prove that they could possibly be the same thing in actual definition or terminology.
Satan means adversary, and Lucifer means light bring, so satan of darkness would essentially be the same thing as Lucifer, at least in terminology.
