Christians in America

Christians in America are mercilessly persecuted. We are like Jews in Nazi Germany. They wont let us pray in the schools, they call us all kinds of names like bible thumper and holy roller and now they want to make gospel preaching a hate crime but our God will get us the victory. We have endured much for the gospel but take heart. Jesus said the world hated him and they will hate us too. The hour of his second coming is at hand and soon we will be with him in heaven. Our God is an awesome God. Amen.

what about the separation of church and state? religion seems to have acquired rights, why? as if religion was an entity...?
it's a belief and no one in this country is telling you you can't practice your religion in your churches, synagogues or mosques...
tell me where that is happening in this country....

your complaining about prayer in the public schools...separation of church and state
ahhh, gospel preaching a crime? are saying a preacher cannot preach from the pulpit?

if your god is an awesome god, where is your faith then? why the need for control?

That is absolutely disgusting. That you would be shameless enough to compare the position of Christians in America -- privileged, but apparently not privileged enough to suit you -- to the persecution of Jews in Nazi Germany is absolutely inexcusable.

If you're joking, it's not funny. If you're serious, seek psychiatric help.

waitasec, why should we hide our faith? Why do you we have to keep it in church? I am not ashamed to be a Christian. I believe in seperation of church and state too. The state needs to keep it's nose out of the church's business. We dont want control. We want to be able to freely practice our relationship.

Are you a Christian? Look at the way they treat us. We have been spat upon and we have our faith mocked on a daily basis. How is that not persecution?

HAHAHA! Like the jews in nazi germany???!!! Are you typing this in a death camp? Hogwash! You can pray in school till you're blue in the face. What you can't do is have a school lead mandatory prayer. No one took prayer out of school, they took school lead prayer out of school. You're not being persecuted, we're just trying to stop you from persecuting everyone else.

It was on fire when I laid down on it.
As a Christian in America, I would say we are FAR from persecuted. I feel very comfortable and perfectly at ease living my faith openly.

Maybe that's part of our problem.

are you worshipping in secret or do you have a church to go to?
that is freedom of religion...
religion isn't supposed to have rights...it's a privilege to be able to go to your church and worship

if we didn't have the separation of church and state, what religion would be the state religion?
our founding fathers did not want 1 religion to be above all other religions, right?

Anybody who says the odious and reprehensible things you say deserves to mocked. Such a person deserves to be spat on -- literally.

But anyone who thinks that being mocked and even spat on is in any way comparable to how the Jews were treated in Nazi Germany is a lunatic or a fool. Or both.

You should be ashamed, if you are capable of being ashamed.

I'm always aware of the possibility that a person like this is a Poe, but because I know people like this in real life, I don't assume it. A Poe will usually reveal himself in due time, because he can never get the act quite right.
