The Catholic church was originally just the universal church. It could just as well be said that where Christ is there is the only church, which is all real believers.
The foundation of the church is the confession that Jesus is God's Son. All true believers confess this.

Jesus wasn't a fool

He established one church consisting of all true believers. This church is in some sense invisible because we don't know for sure who is a real believer.

Jesus is always with us. We ARE the church... not any denomination or sect.

The true church always reforms, because we know we aren't perfect yet

I don't recall Jesus saying anything about rejecting a certain church equaling rejection of God.

No, baptism is for people who are already disciples. Make disciples, Jesus said, and baptize then. If a person isn't already saved, baptism certainly doesn't save him.

I already agreed there's one church. It's just not what you think it is.
Here's what I suspect happens a lot: a man or a woman who has never been to the cross... never asked Jesus for salvation, goes and sits in a little wooden box, and confesses to another man. The man tells him he is forgiven, so the unsaved sinner, happily leaves to sin some more. He never knows Jesus because there's someone in the way and he's never told he can approach God himself.

Communion is more than a symbol...but if it were actually blood and meat it would be cannibalism.
Jesus didn't bleed into the cup and pass it around. He didn't cut off body parts and feed his followers.
They understood it represented his body and blood and for that reason they must have reverence for the reenactment of his sacrifice. Of course I take communion seriously. I think it's wrong and dangerous not to take seriously. But in John 6 Jesus is talking about partaking by faith. We are told to do the last supper as a remerberence, not to gain salvation.

Don't you think Protestant churches have elders? The laying of hands is very common in Protestant churches.

I already agreed there's one church. It's just not what you think it is.
Here's what I suspect happens a lot: a man or a woman who has never been to the cross... never asked Jesus for salvation, goes and sits in a little wooden box, and confesses to another man. The man tells him he is forgiven, so the unsaved sinner, happily leaves to sin some more. He never knows Jesus because there's someone in the way and he's never told he can approach God himself.

Wildswanderer those in Thessalonica rejected "Scripture Alone"! They listened to the Church! Paul (Church) was teaching "Christ Resurrected" they would not have found the Truth without the Church! The Bereans were less noble because they rejected the Church! BUT......

A tax collector is rejected!
A Pagan is a person OUTSIDE of God' family!

So you believe someone is saved merely by confession to another man?
That is a rejection of scripture!

I don't reject any scripture, I simply interpret it without Catholic lenses.

Don't you think Protestant churches have elders? The laying of hands is very common in Protestant churches.
I don't see anything in there that commands us to have a certain Church structure.

You need the bride to become a Child of God... THINK: God has only one son... You MUST be immersed into the body of Jesus to call God "Father"! If you Remain In Jesus then you will be in God' family!

Umm. Looks like that you got that exactly backwards. They checked out the scripture to see if Paul was right. They were relying on the scriptures instead of just believing what they were told in church.

Wildswanderer This is scripture prophesy: Martin Luther was "AMONG" Catholics! This prophesy cannot work in the reverse "Catholics were not among Luther"! He was rejected as False teacher a Heretic!

Jesus' Church has Authority given her by Jesus in person! Jesus handed his flock over to His One Holy Catholic Apostolic Church none other all others are formed by men! Men who MUST reject the scriptures otherwise they would be Catholics!

Yes, they were meeting in homes. The Church was persecuted. It was still, the Holy Church Jesus established before he left us! The 1) One 2) Holy 3) Catholic 4) Apostolic Church no others have these four marks! Yes, just people preaching the truth. all these teachers were Bishops or Priests they were all Catholics!
Yes They checked out the scripture to see if Paul was right. but what Paul was teaching was not found in their Old Testament! They NEEDED Church to find truth!

Actually a whole lot of it is. Most of Paul's teaching is from his new understanding of the Torah in regards to Jesus. His writing is full of references that come from the Torah.
