That is a very good example, and I agree 100%.

However, how do you conclude what is flawwed logic from actual logic?

From the my POV religions seem to be one persons logic and than a runoff of that. Not what is actually logically to the Universe.

Lots of ways -

1) Logic has a self-correcting feature that we can refer to as "consistency." We need to constantly review our logic for self-contained flaws. Flawed logic has unresolved inconsistencies.

2) Inadequate knowledge. As you know, human knowledge is constantly expanding and we need to constantly correct the knowledge base from which we draw our knowledge. Flawed logic uses inadequate knowledge.

Achieving perfect clarity in both of these areas is exceptionally rare.

I would imagine so.....:(

"Those aren't the fundamentals of Christian faith presented in post #251."

And thats my point, How can Chritianity obviously evolve with society as we evolve, and then deny such evolving...?
Eternal Truth doesn't change, similar to gravity not changing on earth.
We don't evolve out of gravity on earth. We have to allow for it on earth. Gravity is a constant, no matter how society evolves.

We don't evolve out of gravity on earth. We have to allow for it on earth. Gravity remains constant, no matter how society evolves.

Are you sure about that?

(we can see inadequacy of knowledge at work here in a minute)

So Christians change their "truths" so many times because......?

Jesus said it was the word of God.

He believed it was the "word of God" in every detail. He believed that every jot and little tittle of the Law (the OT word for Scriptures) was the very truth of God
vested with the authority of God and backed by the power of God (Matt 5:17-19).

To emphasize that the OT was the infallible, inerrant word of God, Jesus used his regular formula for solemn assertion ("Truly, truly, I say to you") when he stated,
"until heaven and earth disappear, not one tittle (smallest stroke of the pen) will by any means disappear from the Law (Scriptures)."

He treated arguments from Scripture as having clinching force. When he said "It is written," that was final. There was no appeal against Scripture, for "the scriptures cannot be broken." God's Word holds good forever. He constantly scolded the Jews for their ignorance and neglect of Scripture: "Are you not in error because you do not know the Scriptures?". . ."Have you not read. . .?" "Go and learn what this means. . ."

And even more importantly, Jesus himself submitted to the OT as the word of God.
He lived a life in obedience to Scripture, and then he died in obedience to Scripture. When he arose, he explained who he was by the Scriptures (Lk 24:44-47, 25).
He presented himself to the Jews as the fulfiller of Scripture (Jn 5:39-40, 46-47).

And in asserting to the Jews that the OT bore divine authoritative witness to him, Jesus thereby bore divine authoritative witness to it.
Belief in the authority and truth of the OT was the foundation of Jesus' whole ministry.

That's all the evidence I need for its infallibility and inerrancy
So the Bible says it's the word of God and that's all the evidence you need...

How do you keep women quiet at church? Are the head shavings done by the leader of the church or by the family of the woman without a headscarf?

Born again Christians love the Scriptures. . .it is their spiritual food.

The Scriptures don't change, and neither do the beliefs of those who believe them.
sure they do, I don't see Christians stoning disobedient children, I see them eating shell fish, and I see women talking in church......

See the scriptures have evolved....:shout

You don't understand the relation of the OT to the NT as explained in the NT letter to the Hebrews.

The OT Levitical regulations didn't "evolve". . .they were abolished because Jesus fulfilled them all.
He is the new High Priest, the once-for-all perfect sacrifice, the cleansing of sin by the blood of the sacrifice, and the mediator of a new covenant in his blood,
just as Moses was the mediator of the old covenant in animal blood.

That's not "evolution," that's fulfillment of promises and types (symbols pointing to Christ).

Really? that's not evolving....???? :ignore:

They are not all abolished, it is either an all or nothing thing. Christians love to pick and choose what fits.

Either you believe ALL the bible says or none of it. If you believe any less or more, than you're simply contradicting yourself....

I would also like to point out the irony that moses and jesus have been perfect symbols for Pagan believes of the precession......

Who are you to make up these rules?

This kind of bianary thinking is a bit oversimplistic.

Not really, at least from my POV.

How can God's word change, I mean these are the messangers of god giving us god's word. Yet that has changed , and the bolagne of why it changed I am not buying it. Especially considering I am a homosexual man.

Lets see Christians like shell fish and not beating their children with stones, so THEY decided to change it. Yet homosexuality still an abomination......

If there is a god, it's word does not change and we can not change it's word. yet Christians have a found a loophole....

Lets be honest, if it was god's word from the get go it would not have changed. The OT nor the NT is god's word. That is blantantly obvious.....;)

Why not? Why would you think that God would speak the same word to humans that are constantly changing?

For the same reason that homosexuality in the East was accepted before the creation of Jesus Christ. Not to mention doesn't god know ALL? So why have different sets of rules, just give us the final version.... It doesn't make sense....;)

And in case you missed it, there is no god.:D, thats why.

I'm sorry, but this post just doesn't make any sense to me. You don't appear to address my question at all.

OK, I will try to elaborate better...

If God is all knowing and all powerfull, why not give us the final version of the "rules" of their word? Why change the rules, and if the rules are changing due to us, then are we not the gods? It's confusing to think this, and makes me not beleive in god. It's too much a contradiction.....

So why would god give different rules to these evolving humans? Why was it ok to stone children and women could not speak in church then, but now that we see the errors of those ways , so God's word has changed. It has evolved as we evolve....

It makes it obvious that god did not create us, rather we created god and change god when it suits our needs/wants.....

Not so. Faith is not the result of reason and logic.
True faith can rest on the foundation of God.
However, faith with comprehension is so much richer and deeper.
But reason is not its master, it is only its servant, the intention for which it was given. . .to inform faith.

"Not so. Faith is not the result of reason and logic."

Your "faith" may not be, but for real faith reason and logic is necessary.

"True faith can rest on the foundation of God."

"God" is a rationalization.

"But reason is not its master, it is only its servant, the intention for which it was given. . .to inform faith."

"Faith" is not an excuse to be stupid and the only master reason has is reason itself.
