Christians only: what was you religion before you became a Christian?

The last organized religion of which I was a member before being saved by Jesus Christ was Mormonism, but between Mormonism and knowing Christ I was involved with New Age philosophies and was also starting to become heavily influenced by the Worldwide Church of God. I am truly thankful for deliverance and salvation in Christ alone.

Amen to that. I am glad that I got saved too.

I was raised a Christian, so I can't really say that I became one later in life. I suppose you could say that I entered into a covenant relationship with Jesus Christ when I was baptized at the age of eight, though. My testimony of Jesus Christ has definitely increased over time, though. I'm also glad to be "saved." ;)

My family was Catholic at the time. I got saved outside of that when I was 8. Although I grew and learned in Christ, I also went through all the doubts and the questions and the wild times, ya know. In my twenties I learned of other religions and dabbled very briefly in some of the Native American Religions and Shamanic type practices. I discovered quickly the Holy Spirit was far from that and repented! Even when I was doing wrong, I knew it inside, the conviction of the Holy Spirit is a good guide. And I learned when I sinned, there were consequences, and how! I studied all the cults and false religions, evolution, atheism-all the 'isms', philosophy, and apologetics, etc., and found Christianity to be the truth to me. Not only because of the Word, but because of how the Lord has dealt with me, in his correction and in his provision and guidance. Now I trust alone in Christ alone to have eternally saved me to the uttermost, and I try to be as good a Christian as I can. Still a lot of maturing to do, and I am getting to be an old man! Live and learn, I guess. I just don't want to waste my life on things of this world, I want to serve the Lord more, someway, somewhere, somehow...rambling...peace!

Atheism to Catholicism (I do not count being a child and going to sunday school. Never really understood Christianity).

Left Catholicism for Judaism(I am Jewish by ancestry).

And now, back to Catholicism.

Its bad, I know. But I see it as leaving to Judaism and coming back has really helped me out, religiously and spiritually. And has widen my knowledge. Strangest thing, I understand Catholicism and Christ better after practicing Judaism and getting to my lost family roots. (Also found out a great-greatgrand father was a Rabbi)
