Christians, what is your denomination?

Some questions I thought of, out of curiousity. I might be sharing them with my Bible study class, too.

1) What is your denomination?

2) What region of the United States, or world do you live?

3) Is your denomination today the same one you were brought up in? Or did you change somewhere along the way?

4) Why is your chosen denomination...your chosen denomination? :D

I just thought it would be interesting to see if denomination has anything to do with the region you live in, or how you were raised.

Yes, although for about six years I did not consider myself a Latter-day Saint.

1) Roman Catholic

2) St Louis MO

3)I was raised Catholic, then fell away and wanted to be protestant. I went to a Baptist church for 5 years and studied the other protestant denominations. Had and still have alot of protestant friends. Eventually by the grace of God, after much prayer, biblical, historical, and studies on miracles and exorcisms I was graced by Christ to return to his One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic church were I remain faithful to this day.

4) My chosen denomination is Roman Catholic and I am now a Catholic theology student. Amen!

Bless you in Jesus the King through Mary the Queen Mother of the universe,

I should add to number 4 that I am a Roman Catholic now because I believe after much study historically, miraculously, and biblically, and after much prayer I have come to believe that Jesus founded the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church as his one Holy Church and infallible voice. I also believed that after studying in the protestant denominations(as I went to baptist and Lutheran churches), that they're churches doctrines were invented by mere men. Doctrines that I could not honestly see being workable in the christian economy. Doctrines like like Sola Scriptura or Sola Fide. So by conscious I had to return to the faith I was privileged to be baptized into and that history and miracles showed forth to be Christ one true Church.

3) Same one, but during college, I drifted away.

4) As I explored other faiths back then, I realized how important my beliefs were to me and how the important aspects of my faith lined up with the Disciples' philosophies.

1) What is your denomination?
I hate that word, never use it, disagree with it violently, but my Church is the Holy Orthodox Catholic Church, which westerners generally call the Eastern Orthodox Church. It's not a denomination so far as I'm concerned but others would say it is.

2) What region of the United States, or world do you live?
I live in Yorkshire, northern England.

3) Is your denomination today the same one you were brought up in? Or did you change somewhere along the way?
No, I'm an adult convert with a rather chequered religious past.

4) Why is your chosen denomination...your chosen denomination? :D
Because I discovered Orthodoxy whilst working for a Protestant charity and it felt right - simply put it felt much fuller, deeper and more genuine than other versions of the faith I found. I did a lot of research (I spent years as an enquirer) and that impression just continued to grow and I also found that the historical claims of Orthodoxy were way, way stronger than those of any other church. In short I accept that the Orthodox Church is the Church founded by Christ.

I just thought it would be interesting to see if denomination has anything to do with the region you live in, or how you were raised.
In my case, not. Unless you think you'll find other Yorkshire ex-Lutherans of German/Czech descent who are currently practicing Orthodox Christianity within the Romanian church?

1) What is your denomination?
I attend an Independant baptist church when I can get there and am part of a house church which is basically non denominational. We just practice and teach bible truth, break bread, sing, pray and collect for the poor.

2) What region of the United States, or world do you live?
England - Midlands
3) Is your denomination today the same one you were brought up in? Or did you change somewhere along the way?
I was brought up Pentecostal between the ages of 6 - 12.

4) Why is your chosen denomination...your chosen denomination? :D
I'm not a baptist to the exclusion of all other Christian denominations and would happily attend any fellowship that practices biblical truth. The baptist church I occasionaly attend (which is very far) is the only one I can find that i can reach that is not ecumenical, evangelises, does not use corrputed translations and cares about reaching lost people for Christ through the gospel all over the world and does not compromise bible truth just to get people in church.

I just thought it would be interesting to see if denomination has anything to do with the region you live in, or how you were raised.
I don't think it does with me at all.
