You forgot your original statement. "How does that apply? It is rather clear that the Bible does not consider fetuses, embryos, etc. to be human."

Its like rope-a-dope!
No, I came in late to your discussion. You made a clear error, and even with that error of yours it could be shown that the Bible at times does not think of babies as persons.

So, no valid sources then.
The Gospels are where the story comes from......like the scriptures that you tried to use to claim that a fetus isn't human. One moment you appeal to scripture as authority for your argument, the next moment the gospels aren't authority on the Jesus story? Youve exceeded your allowance for bs for the day!

The gospels are where the story comes from. So what? You still need to show that your claim is valid.

Oh, so NOW you do take the scriptures as historically accurate?

Jesus’ Trial before Pilate

28 Jesus’ trial before Caiaphas ended in the early hours of the morning. Then he was taken to the headquarters of the Roman governor. His accusers didn’t go inside because it would defile them, and they wouldn’t be allowed to celebrate the Passover. 29 So Pilate, the governor, went out to them and asked, “What is your charge against this man?”

30 “We wouldn’t have handed him over to you if he weren’t a criminal!” they retorted.

31 “Then take him away and judge him by your own law,” Pilate told them.

“Only the Romans are permitted to execute someone,” the Jewish leaders replied. 32
I would sooner believe an man can walk on water than believe a nobody from a backwater podunk got a one on one meeting with Pontius Pilate. It just didn't happen. And Pilate did not take orders from a Jewish mob.

You can't "proof text" with me. It doesn't work.

What you believe is irrelevant to what is true. The Jews had leverage over Pilate due to earlier missteps on his part. That’s why they were able to get him out of bed at 6:00 AM to deal with their condemned prisoner.

The Jews thought they were getting rid of Jesus when their problems with him had only just begun.

Britannica

“Protected by Sejanus, Pilate incurred the enmity of Jews in Roman-occupied Palestine by insulting their religious sensibilities, as when he hung worship images of the emperor throughout Jerusalem and had coins bearing pagan religious symbols minted. After Sejanus’s fall (31 CE), Pilate was exposed to sharper criticism from certain Jews, who may have capitalized on his vulnerability to obtain a legal death sentence on Jesus (John 19:12). The Samaritans reported Pilate to Vitellius, legate of Syria, after he attacked them on Mount Gerizim (36 CE). He was then ordered back to Rome to stand trial for cruelty and oppression, particularly on the charge that he had executed men without proper trial.”

LoL! The party that’s concerned about separation of church and state re-elects Baptist minister who combines both!

The "culture war" between the parties is just a smoke screen to cover up how they screw over 99% of the population to appease the rich. In front of cameras, they pretend to care about culture war issues then meet up later off camera for drinks and to strategize how they can further rig the system to benefit and protect the rich. The United States political and justice systems are a joke. A poor man can be killed on the street by the cops for selling loose cigarettes while a rich and connected man can incite an attack on the capitol and steal top secret documents and it doesn't disturb his schedule of golfing the slightest.

Read the books that others would burn.
I hope they reject him and then he decides to run independently, splitting the GOP vote.

But if they reject him in the primaries, Donald will send his demented disciples on a rampage again... Against the RNC this time.

OTOH, if they give him the nomination and he loses in the general election, he'll send them against Congress - again - only this time, the Capitol Police and national Guard will be ready for them... with deadly force. When that happens, those idiots become martyrs not just for Donald, but for the GOP, since he was still "their" candidate.

So it's in the best interest for the Republicans to give Donald the nod, then milk the sympathy vote when he crashes and burns.
