Coffins dangle in the air exposing bodies after a crypt caves in

Another reason to be cremated and disposed of in nature

I've considered that myself. Not because of things like this, though. I don't know the circumstances of this, whether it's negligence of the builder or how old the structure is. They say there's an investigation underway and noted a few possible causes, such as a metro line nearby, heavy rain, and/or a construction crew near the site.

On the other hand, I was thinking that if I was dead and inside one of those coffins, I might welcome a bit of excitement like this. I imagine it would be a pretty boring existence lying inside a box in another box in a mausoleum. But a building collapse and a chance to get out in the open air might be a nice change of pace - since I'd be dead anyway, it wouldn't be a big deal.

There are over 24,000 known cemeteries in the US, thats just registered ones. Just imagine how many there are world wide. Then you have buildings like this also.

With the world population growing like breeding rabbits, that land will sooner or later have to be used for something other than a graveyard.

What will they do with all the caskets and bodies?

I don't know. I recall when they were building a new building downtown, there were some bones discovered while they were digging. It turns out it was a much older cemetery which had been forgotten.

Considering how many billions of people have walked the earth already - and they all had to be buried or disposed of somewhere - the whole planet could be one giant graveyard.

True. However their grave is their final resting place. I'm let the dead rest without disturbing them type of person.
That's getting harder to do as we build on and/or farm more land.
