Put it this way; I am disabled ( can do very little pohysically - although I do try hard and then end up in bed for trying ). I suffer from depression, so being on the Compouter the bulk of the day works well as a 'distraction' tactic, for both pain and depression - and yes, loneliness.

Hehe - no wonder I have so few friends, I am so darned cheerful..............:biglaugh:

I do, I go to college with people who really really are in the wrong job!
Its not exactly me things are directed at all the time it just annoys me to see them picking peoplpe off one by one and to think they are to be looking after vulnerable children!

What do you do? :)

Terry is now offline;

What do I do? not a lot. I am a 56 year old retired Bank manager (I like the use of the word manager - even if it was for a short time at a small branch :D ); unfortunately, I was retired early, due to stress and depression.

Now ? I try to be a house husband (when my wife will admit that there are some jobs I can do as well as she). Otherwise, I fill my days with studying psychology, psychotherapy & join in here.;)

Bank manager eh, Very posh, ;)
My bank doesn't like me :D
I am sorry you had to retire early but some times life puts unnecessary stressors on us needlessly if it makes you happier you should do it I think!
Being a housewife/hubby is no easy task especially when people come home from work grumpy!
Psychology was something that always sparked my interest but I was never quite sure why!
I keep trying to dive into the conversations here but people often have said my thoughts and I would be just repeating them :D
Are you looking forward to Christmas michel?
(I have spent ages trying to spell michel right and yours is spelt the way I used to spell it ;) )

Sorry I was offline when you sent your last message.
You always get misfits on courses, fortunately most of them drop out before qualifying.
You could get the serious students to band together and give each other support.
The behavior you describe is bullying, and the usual tactic is to pick on individuals.
If it continues go to student services, they have very experienced people in sorting this out.Your College may have a different name for this department but should be very easy to find.

As for what I do...I am retired, I used to work for Bradford College as print and photographic manager.(non teaching)
I fill my life now with family and Grand children ( I am a widower)
and also do wood work and photography
This is some thing I recently made http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b279/terrywoodenpic/altarinwindow.jpg

Wow thats really excellent!
I hate to describe it as bullying I think I am a bit old for that word *rollseyes*
I wish I was that creative, I think the best think I made in wood work was a toy and I didn't even finish it!
Love the smell of sawdust though ;)

Depression is the absolute worst. No one who hasn't suffered from it can even begin to relate. If it were not for medication, I couldn't survive it.

Do you like the countryside, Dark Waltz? Are you an outdoor person or an indoor person? Or both?

I see you live in Manchester. What's the city like? What's your favorite restuarant? Are there many Pagans there? Do you get a chance to socialize with them?

So many questions, so little time.:D

I live just outside in the suburbs there so its not too bad takes a 50 minn bus ride to get to the city centre,
I don't know any other pagans unfortunately but theres a pagan shop in the city centre that does have meetings and stuff I am just not that confident :bounce

Your tastes are beautiful! I live less than an hour's drive from the Colorado wilderness. It's not entirely unspoiled, but there are tons of hiking trails and beautiful places. One of my favorite spots is a natural hotsprings.

Do you like to soak in hotsprings?

How long have you been a Pagan? Were you raised that way?

There's a small town next to the city I live in that has a local reputation for being a bastion of Paganism. Many of the Christians in my city refuse to go to that town because they think Pagans are all about Satan worship. Ridiculous, but sadly true. Do you encounter any prejudice as a Pagan?

ROFL! I really should get that T shirt for this job, don't you think? I'll promptly take it up with Todd, the forum owner. Thanks for the advice! It's perfect!

I haven't been a pagan officially for very long about 1 to2 years I have had pagan tendancies for a while.
I think satanists are very misunderstood,
I used to be a Christian but it was not my path even though I thought it was my calling at the time,
That is not to say I became a Pagan to stick two fingers up at christianity, alot of people assume that,
My parents do not know my beleifs even though I live with them and have candles and a simple altar lol!
A few people in my life do, Though only snubs I get is from people I used to go to church with and I am not sure they even know I am pagan i thin it may just be because I stopped being the altar girl and carrying their cross on sundays

When you come to the States, drop by, and I'll take you to a wonderful hotsprings that is so natural and sacred by its nature that the people who go there often feel the need to speak in whispers, as if they've come into a cathedral.

I think satanists are very misunderstood...
I do too. What do you think is the major strength of Satanism?

I used to be a Christian but it was not my path even though I thought it was my calling at the time...
I'm glad you found your path! It can be a difficult thing to do. Was it hard for you to leave Christianity? Did you have a lot of doubts about your decision to leave? Or was Paganism so obvious to you as your path that you just knew it was the right one for you?

That is not to say I became a Pagan to stick two fingers up at christianity, alot of people assume that...
That's a sad and shallow assumption, I think.

So, you've always been religious? Sometimes I think it's the people who are most profoundly religious who are most likely to find a path other than the one they were born to. What most attracted you to Paganism?

BTW, Who in your life would you trust your life to if you had to walk with them into a difficult situation?
