Commandment 99 of the 100 commandment of christ.

To christian members.

As the 100 commandments of Christ were written by one of the 3 forms of God who is the source of all truth, light etc... and the creator of the universe as well as being included in the Bible I think it's fair to consider them a cornerstone of christianity, where even moderate Christians should follow them.

Many christians consider the stories in the Bible to be more metaphor than historical fact and may consider for example that some have lost meaning due to being so out of date, however I would expect even these christians to take the 100 commandments of Christ seriously.

A partial christian, for example who followed part of the Bible but didn't consider it all true, who had no problem with making his own philosophy based on the Bible and should admit this to be the case could ofcouse ignore the commandments they didn't like without contradiction.

Given this, what do you think of commandment 99? Following is the fullest version I could find.
A woman should learn in quietness and full submission. I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man; she must be silent.

Would you follow this commandment or insist it was followed to save you'r soal even if it meant losing friends or causing your body to suffer imprisonment?

This is, indeed, an authentic part of the New Testament.
It was, however, not said by Jesus so it, like everything Jesus didn't actually say, must be looked at with intense scrutiny and scepticism.

Thanks. Why did it make it in if Christ didn't command it? Those who wrote the Bible made it up? Seems like a bit on an own goal.

There's not such thing as the "100 Commandments of Christ"!

In actuality, Christ issued 2 commandments for living, 6 commandments for the attainment of eternal life, and 1 commandment to complement those 6 and help one attain perfection.

Two commandments for living: Love the Lord, your God, with all your heart, soul, strength, and mind. Love your neighbour as you love yourself.

Six commandments for the attainment of eternal life: You shall not murder, you shall not commit adultery, you shall not steal, you shall not give false testimony, honour your father and mother, and love your neighbour as yourself.

One commandment to attain perfection: Sell everything you own, give the money to the poor, and follow me.

So, realistically, we only have 7 commandments given here. All others hang upon these. Most of those "100 Commandments of Christ" weren't said by Jesus.

Reading the list and comparing it with yours it seems like a lot of what Jesus said and did from the Bible mustv'e been fabricated.

Looking at the historical Jesus page on Wiki some of the key points from his life seem accurate.

No. Here's the thing: if it's not in the Gospels (or, possibly, in the first chapter of the Acts), Jesus didn't say it; someone else did.
