Mmm .. but without the staff, it can't happen.

There’s no doubt that without measured immigration the NHS could not function but an influx of unknown unskilled people is a huge problem.

Denmark Sweden and Norway are good examples of the problems it causes, cultural and religious divides are very apparent there and the whole of Europe,Ireland with its small population have in a short time had an influx of migrants making 20% of the population.

The towns and cities in the UK where unimployment is high is also where you find the highest population of Muslims who are the most unemployed of all religious groups according to UK.gov statistics.

This is a failure of multiculture and failure to integrate into the UK culture and a burden to the taxpayers so if a migrant requires a translator the burden of paying for one should be there’s.

Mmm .. they weren't when they first arrived in the country.
Manufacturing was booming, but due to the oil crisis and Thatcherism, Birmingham for example,
changed from being one of the best paid jobs in the country to one of the worst, in less than a decade.
i.e. her monetary policies crippled manufacturing

..a burden to the taxpayers..
Thatcher said that "unemployment was a price worth paying".
I don't agree .. and object strongly to the unemployed being cited as a scapegoat for the ills
of bad government.

This not about unimployment,it’s a clash of cultures and failure to integrate into a modern society, not just here but the whole of Europe.

You'd be surprised .. politicians are good at massaging the figures.
The Tories, for example, claim low unemployment, classifying people as long-term-sick.
People are treated as a 'football', to be put on this scheme or that .. this benefit or that.

..it’s a clash of cultures and failure to integrate into a modern society..
That's nonsense .. there has always been immigration .. it's the recent speed of it that is causing
serious issues.

..but then climate-change, inequality and war are also serious issues.

The words I have for Thatcher are not allowed on here, possibly the most hated woman produced by this country, that being said politicians lie all the time and our present government are a good example of that.

Of course there has always been immigration but the problem is they have mostly congregated in certain communities that resemble where they came from, this doesn’t work.

Yesterday was the first Labour Budget in 14 years. 14 years of ***** to address. Investment in the NHS and schools a top priority. Good on you Chancellor Reeves.
My only minor disappointment is that today's Daily Heil headline doesn't contain the word "fury." Still 5 years to go!

The Mail aren’t furious? Perhaps the boats have stopped?

On a serious note, this budget tells us that Starmer’s government won’t be a Blairite exercise in neo-liberalism with a social conscience, but a return to the democratic socialist principles of Attlee and Wilson. And while there’s always loads of potential for interventionist chancellors to make costly blunders (see Kwasi Kwarteng), Reeves seems to have at least satisfied the business community that she’s done her sums thoroughly and honestly. A promising furst budget in extremely challenging circumstances imo.

A good budget, 90% I agree with, I would have liked a hike in fuel duty though. It has been frozen for too long.

I agree but it didn’t have to be that way.
Not much point in might have beens.
The Tories had the majority in parliament to do as they liked. And they f....d up their own Brexit policy.
However reality and their policy was never a match or a likely outcome.
The whole Brexit project was a failure from the start, and has been a disaster for both trade and the economy.

For anyone who happily sings “the Red flag” maybe but for those who want freedom Brexit was the only way to go,the EU is already screwed,it has no real power,Poland and Hungary show that,Brexit was always the right decision.

Maybe not bad government but bad people with no desire to work and contribute.

Queer Kier, Ed Minibrain - you can tell your argument is weak when all you can do is call people name - very Trump like and pathetic.

I think it’s quite fitting,it helps digest how useless this government is,argument?,meh I don’t need any,the polls speak for us.
