As expected, they're working diligantly to defy and undo the will of the people:

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
That's exactly what I would want to hear if was a prospective elitist looking to enslave you. That's the attitude that made america great....
The thing is.

It's true and it's already too late to do anything about it. It's long past the point of no return now.

The elites have all the power and control now, and with technology as it is, will become worse and worse as the entire world becomes more and more authoritarian every decade that passes.

Cept in your paranoid case, everything and everyone is a potential typhoid Mary now, so instead of just dealing with one or more confirmed person(s) like it used to be , the goal and mentality now is to actually go after absolutely anybody and everybody in the name of health and safety, completly disregarding rights and freedoms of people and firmly put them under strict jackbooted rule no matter what the additional consequences are in doing so.

Just like fear of the Japanese in ww2 where all are to be dealt with properly.

Some mentality there.
What are you talking about?

Doesn't make sense. Did you miss the part about Ohio legalizing marijuana(medical)
and protecting women's reproductive rights? And that it was the Dems who pushed for it? If so, my bad.
While he has a cromulent general point,
it ignores what you just posted, ie, that
at times, a party may take the side of
law & justice on an issue.

It keeps getting more and more apparent that Republicans hold a disdain for liberty and democracy,

Dems also won both houses of the state legislature in VA, and the Dem governor of KY won his reelection bid.

All in all, a good night for liberals. Of course the conservative gadflies are unhappy.

So your ideal is to go back to before 1855 - Massachusetts is the first state to require that children have a smallpox vaccine before going to school to prevent the spread of smallpox in schools. Timeline of Vaccination Mandates

Of course. Being identical in nature, both parties support autonomy only when beneficial to them.

So you're fine with a typhoid Mary running free and someone with active TB sitting next to you in a crowded room. After all, those are their viewpoints.
Isn't TB pretty well under control in our lifetimes? What's your point?
As far as I'm concerned, when my life and health are at stake due to the "ideology" and "viewpoints" of others who refuse to recognize reality, I don't care that they feel offended. Their irresponsible acts are offensive to me and I want them stopped.
100% which is why we should oppose both parties.

What are your thoughts on speed limits, stop signs, and traffic lights? Tyranny of the nanny state?
What about them? They are necessary and the punishment for violating them is minor and fair. It's not like if you speed and get a ticket you won't be allowed to work or go outside.

A Republican vote is a vote for a theocracy. They want biblical law forced on everyone while ignoring the secular founding of America
Totalitarianism is totalitarianism, whether it's the worship of a tyrant God or tyran state/celebrities

It wasn't apparent before?
This wasn't an example of a pure democracy.
Governed by the Constitution that's the basis
for law in all states, voters in this state amended
their constitution by legal means.
It's how constitutional republics work. I've found
no better system...other than my monarchy.

What's worse, is that he isn't even aware that you don't have a "pure" democracy. Constitutional protections are there to protect minorities and sub-groups from the tyranny of the majority.

Abortion, however, is a matter of law -- and since the Supreme Court said states get to decide, Ohio decided. Tough toenails, Santorum.
