Conversion stories to Islam

FearGod

Freedom Of Mind
This thread is intended for the stories of some people who converted to Islam and who believed that prophet Mohammed was the last messenger and that Jesus will return on end of times prior to the end of life on this planet earth, so please who wants to post for other beliefs such as Ahmadiyya who believed that Jesus was Ahmadi or Bahai who believed Bahaullah was Jesus then you can easily open a thread for posting such stories for your own beliefs.

Thanks with my full respect for all beliefs and opinions.

Peace be on you,

Most of the stories I posted are converts to Islam from people outside of Islam. Please don't enforce your opinion on the definition of Islam here.

Jazakallah

Dear SeekerOfGod,

it isn't a debate section and I didn't enforce my opinions but just telling facts that Ahmadiyya believes that Mirza Ghulam Ahmad as being the promised Messiah and the same thing about Baha'i that believes Mírzá Ḥusayn-`Alí Núrí to be the promised one.

Muslims believe that the promised messiah didn't return yet.

Dear brother, Assalamo Alaikum and peace be unto you,

Brother you did state:

" This thread is intended for the stories of some people who converted to Islam and who believed that prophet Mohammed was the last messenger and that Jesus will return on end of times prior to the end of life on this planet earth"

Thus implying that this thread excludes converts to Islam that belong to Ahmadiyya Jammat, although just for clarification Ahmadi Muslims do believe that Prophet Muhammad(sa) is the last law-bearing messenger and that they do believe in the descent of the Messiah. The difference is that we believe that has already happened.

It is not fair that only stories relating to converts of Islam of the Sunni group be represented here. In fact I wound invite people of all sects & communities to post interesting stories here. With my case, I posted a number of videos that I watched some time ago and felt it was relevant to this thread. Only later I consciously realized that a few stories relate to formerly Sunnni Muslims choosing the Ahmadiyya interpretation. However, the way I see it, you were unfortunately agitated by converts belonging to the Ahmadiyya Jamaat, so much so that you posted a video that has nothing to do with "stories of converts", rather an attempt to counter a number of videos I found would be relevant for this thread. I however refuse to follow your lead on this matter and will not respond with a "advice on leaving Sunni to become Ahmadi Muslim". Besides, It would only fuel hatred, not love, division, not unity.

Jazakallah.

Dear Brother,

No, you are wrong as I don't believe that Islam has any sections that's why I asked you to open a thread for stories of converts regarding Ahmadiyya which you are interested in and you can also open a thread for any interesting stories for all religions whatsoever, but my thread here is for the stories of converts to Islam without Labels, not for Ghulam Ahmad or Bahaullah or Shii or Sunni but for the message of Islam itself.

The way you did is what makes division and not mine as for me I refuse to post any stories which is biased according to one's section.

But you are still insisting to post stories of Islam which is labeled as Ahmadiyya.

Anyway, thank you and God bless you.

Dear Brother,

You may not believe that Islam has divisions or "sections", but the reality as we know it is that Muslims are divided, no wonder that you posted all Sunni related videos. On the one hand you post exclusively Sunni videos, and on the other, I am being blamed for trying to create divisions by posting Ahmadiyya videos. I am inviting people of all groups to post interesting videos to share differences and learn from each other. Yet I am not the one diverging from the topic by posting videos in an attempt to counteract relevant posts made by the other person.

Converting to Islam of the Ahmadiyya interpretation is unique among the Muslim world. When someone becomes an Ahmadi, he (or she) does not just become a Muslim, he also ties himself to Khilafat and to the community (just like in the early days of Islam). There is a powerful emphasis in the connection with the living Khalifa of the time. Without Khilafat, there is no Jama'at. In other words without Khilafat there is no Ahmadiyyat. That is why when someone becomes an Ahmadi Muslim, discussing their conversion stories whilst leaving the "label" Ahmadiyyat or "Khilafat" out is almost impossible.

On the other hand, there is the conventional Sunni Islam (note: Ahmadis are Sunnis though). From the point of view of the outsiders, Islam=Sunni Islam, on the simple basis that it is the majority. So when someone becomes a Sunni Muslim, there is no reference to Sunni thoughts or views, just Islam, although on the inside they are Sunni.

These two points that I've made above should be enough to point out that your argument that there should be no "labels" in the videos e.g. Ahmadi Muslim, etc is based on unfair and unjust grounds. Your looking at two vastly different worlds with the same pair of glasses, if that's the right phrase to use.
