Some punk from my days in DC as a wild youth - these guys used to play a club I hung out at, the Roxy ( Dupont Circle )

This is my favourite Stooges track, saw Iggy do it in 1977 (or 8) at the Factory Club in Hulme near Manchester. It was heaving, my mate described it as hot as the inside of a chip bag

Okay, I know this isn't Punk, but I did say "and beyond" in the title... :D

Nico was from Germany, and played with the Velvet Underground.
