here is a list of Things that had almost direct copies that "spoofed" off. See if you can add to them.

The Addams family had the Munsters
I Dream of Genie had Bewitched

The Real Life had Big Brother

Aussie Idol had Popstars

Ninja Turtles had Battletoads

Panasonic had Palsonic.

Technically, Popstars was before Australian Idol - it ran for three years before A.I. They just changed the format in the last year or so, so it was more like Australian Idol in the final stages (live performances and all). I still think it's a crap show though lol.
