Could the antichrist not even know that themselves are the antichrist?

Is it possible that, let's say you are the antichrist, but you think you are just a normal person, like you actually should think you are... But when the time comes you will know or maybe you wont know even then, just be an evil dictator like Hitler.

If I'm not mistaken, I've read a particular verse stating that the antichrist will reveal 'himself' on the 'right' time. Having that said, it's impossible for 'him' of not knowing that 'he' is indeed the antichrist.

I see the point.^^ Also, it is stated on the scriptures that the antichrist will be punished for eternity in hell. It would be a bit 'unfair' if he will be punished because of the 'sin' that he is not aware of.

What is the current consensus (if any) on what an Anti-Christ is supposed to be? I have seen conflicting definitions, including that it is simply anyone who does not believe in Jesus as God.

I think in a way we are all the Antichrist, whenever we find ourselves turning away from doing God's will, and following the baser desires of our egos instead.
