Is herd immunity even possible with covid?(new strains pop up in different countries all the time. Now a new India double variant strain).

Does anyone know what % of the population needs to be vaccinates to achieve herd immunity?

Will covid require a yearly vaccine like the flu?

Will new covid strains next year require a whole new vaccination?

Those are all unknowns. In reality there are more unknowns about Covid-19 and the vaccinations than there are knowns.

At least one thing we may know is SARS-CoV-2 mutate 4 times more slowly than influenza.

There are a lot of unknowns, to be sure. Whether the disease will peter out, remain at a low level with only a few getting sick or require booster shots is the question.

We won't know for some time but from all accounts Israel is the place to watch.

And to me "herd immunity" is not a reasonable goal at this point. Cutting down the impact to no worse than the flu is the goal I'm hoping for and I think achievable with both vaccination and treatments.

I'm sorry but unless you have a health reason you should take the vaccine; it protects you but more importantly it protects others. Others who may be much more vulnerable than you.

There are countries that you cannot visit unless you have received certain jabs; there are schools which won't allow kids in unless they have had the MMR jab.

Why is the COVID jab any different?

It seems though that skeptics or anyone who questions are dismissed as antivax loonies, while an entirely new regime of experimental vaccines
are hailed as a miracle answer. At the same time, the government which has aligned itself with the pharmaceutical industry it’s supposed to regulate is doing everything in its power to pressure people into getting vaccinated. It looks like most extravagant product launch in America’s history. The manufacturers stand to make enormous profits from vaccines that have only FDA “Emergency Use Authorization”, which is not the same as FDA Approval.

Even doctors, scientists, virologists, epidemiologists and public health experts who question the new mRNA vaccine technology are shutdown.
Has anyone noticed the lengths to which media and government has gone to eliminate any challenge to the “official narrative” and to denounce, ridicule or blacklist anyone who has concerns or a different perspective?
