See here - an epic fail fully predictable given this epic failure of an Administration. This is the Puerto Rico travesty writ large.

3 million doses administered in less than a month seems like a good thing.

In absolute terms, one dose is a good thing. But with real lives at stake, a relevant question is "Is there room for improvement?"

Is the problem that the OP is injecting into this that the rich countries are getting vaccines first? All I see is progress across the board otherwise. The article even readily admits that the U.S.'s program for developing a vaccine on a fast track shaved years off of what would normally be a vaccine development cycle. Don't get me wrong... I want Trump to become just a bad memory as soon as possible, and I doubt he had very much to do with any of this anyway - he was always very much more interested in Tweeting, voter fraud and golfing, and very much less interested in keeping the country informed or trying to allay fears or even just relate to the people.

I guess, in the end, what would make this live up to your standards, @Jayhawker Soule? More vaccines distributed? More of this earliest access granted to nations with lower GDP? We are talking about a logistical conundrum of unheard-of proportions, after all. Paragraph 1:
article said:
Delivering billions more will be one of the greatest logistical challenges ever undertaken.
Do we even have anything to compare this endeavor against in order to wag fingers and call those involved failures?

you need to vaccinate 1 million Americans a day to complete in one year, 3 million in a month is a drop in the bucket and way behind schedule

Schedule? And no chance of accelerating?
UK is st 1%. USA at about .6 percent.

But it's a fraction of what was planned.

Each state was allowed to develop and administer its own program. There is little federal co-ordination.
Expect a patchwork of results. Everybody's trying to figure out how to make a profit on this valuable commodity, after all, "the business of America is business."

Profit trumps the common good. Privatization and profit is the American Way. Giving it out for free? Madness!

And what is the schedule, exactly? Is this something someone wrote up somewhere? Where can I view this schedule you speak of?

If you jump out of an airplane at ten thousand feet you will die. That is not good.
It actually entirely depends on who is doing the jumping, and why. In the end, it probably isn't good for them - but you honestly never know. What if they are a terminally ill patient whose last dying wish is to sky dive? They figured they'd end their suffering and complete their bucket-list all in one go. There's always another perspective.

What's the US population? Isn't it around 365 million? 3 million is a slow start in that case.

Oh sure, that is fair enough. It will be interesting to see what (if any) pivots are made in the distribution.

To the wokeists, anything involving Trump in any way is automatically bad.
It is in the handbook, which is available for three easy payments of $19.99. Let me know if you are interested!

I am not as up to speed as others, what was originally planned? Did something go wrong or is it poor planning on the state level?
