Crazy mixed up world

Revelation all the time
Preface: I thought Trump's speech was decent, I am global warming skeptic, I think Obama is not a Muslim.

Last night I visited with a few friends and was one-on-one with a friend who I've only briefly talked politics with previously. I can't recall how I introduced the topic, but I mentioned something about Trump's speech (the night before). This person said, "I soo liked that speech he gave." To which I was like, "Really?" And they said, "I sooo sooo liked that great speech he gave." To which I was genuinely wondering if this person was being sarcastic. I really could not tell. They told me (for about the next 3 minutes) that they really truly liked it.

Then I brought up global warming stuff. Didn't share much other than I see it as significantly motivating factor for Dems, contributing to desire for need for big government to be part of whatever solution there is to perceived problem. To this person, this was all news, but then went onto repeat what they heard from documentary, giving a diatribe of how just actual global warming is.

Then national security was brought up and how that is big deal for Pubs. Which lead this person to inform me that they are convinced, beyond any doubt, that Obama is Muslim.

So, we agreed on one item and stood in disagreement on 2 other items. 2 of which I've not heard someone actually lay claim to both of them. That Obama is for sure Muslim and that global warming is for sure a significant problem right now in humanity.

Not sure what the debate is to be had in this thread. Not really looking to debate my take on global warming/climate change, nor on Obama being non-Muslim. I just find it fascinating how much people can be across the board with their beliefs. Takes politically aware types to bring consistency to these type of issues, and is what I'm generally used to. But I do think majority of people are probably all over the political map and what us politically aware types would view as 'highly inconsistent.' Perhaps there's a debate to be had around that?
