Creating a spiritual and magical order

I don't know too many spiritual orders that are eclectic in beliefs or practices. I thought of making something like this.

An order of different beliefs in an attempt to help people. A group of druids, priests, shamans, psychics, mystics, witches and so forth that go and help as well as protect people. Whether it's exorcism, banishing harmful spirits and energies, blessing people, protecting people from harmful hexes, ect. They can consist of druids, Buddhists, Christians, different eclectic beliefs and so forth. Many of them would consist of magic practicing pagans and also the mystical branches of other religions, such as Jewish Kabbalists, Orthodox Christians, Sufi Muslims, Mystical branches of Hinduism, Buddhism, and so forth. They can teach others how to help themselves through contact with good spirits, practicing herbalism, crystals, mediation, astral projection, ect. Many of them can practice different types of techniques such as psychokinesis or practicing types of magic, like tree magic, communion with dragons, tree spirits, angels, ect. This is for those that believe in such practices and perform such things.

I feel like that even though these beliefs would be quite different, it doesn't mean they could not work together. People have different beliefs and different ways. That will always happen. Even Druids within their own group are not all going to act or do the same things. The end goal is to achieve peace, harmony and educate others. And in this order, perhaps they can learn from on another as well, as a druid can learn something from a Jew and vice versa. Due to the different techniques, they have a better chance of protecting one another and others from harm.

This is of course of believers of this kind of thing. I was just wondering what you would think about something like this. I had thought of creating my order and many are welcome if one practices such things.

Several members here have formed successful occult orders actually.

No harm in trying, perhaps post the idea in different places and see if you can round up a few dedicated people to help start things up. Do you have any specific plans yet, in terms of how you will operate your order and what you might offer to members?

To form an order, wouldn't you need a sizable number of like-minded people willing to actively participate?

Eh, the Order of the Serpent started with only 3 people, then grew due to our works. I started a solo order previously that got like 5 applications in the month it was up. Now sure, you're not going to get super large in a short amount of time, but I prefer quality to quantity anyways.

Well that is why I am on here. To let others know. I've had others interested in joining

I have rounded up some already. One of them is a Wiccan and the other is a Jedi. I don't mind what their religion is as long as we have the same goal in mind, which is peace and to use magic and psionics to help others in need, and to not harm or manipulate the innocent. Most orders don't get involved in trying to sanctify haunted houses, protect others from harm but many usually keep to them their own order. I don't know too many that also use psionics in addition to magic and it's an interfaith order.

I need to make a forum at least to get some attention. This is really a learning experience where members can also teach each other, even through video, to harness the power of cryokinesis, druidry, shamanism ect. so that we may better protect ourselves and others. Our different religions should not matter. You have your way of doing things and I have mine. As long as the innocent his helped, that's all the matters.

I sometimes wondered about a name and what name would be best for such an order I am in the beginning stages now, but everything must start small. If anyone would be interested in joining and helping others, by all means, send me a message.

I had thought of names that would be the Order of Gnosis, Knights of Gnosis or Keepers of Gnosis. I want to help bring humanity closer. I know it won't be done over night. We all have our own beliefs but many of us have the same goal, which is peace. A Christian Mystic will not accomplish things the way a Buddhist Monk would. They have their ways but the goal is still the same, which is peace. Let Sufi's join, let Jedi be welcome, Unitarians, Baha'i, Taoists and many others be welcome.

But I want the order to be more involved. I want us to know that these powers are real as the world around us.

Many religions are welcome. I believe it would mostly attract the mystic branches of each religion. Many of them I believe would be practicing magic and rituals, but I know of some that practiced physic abilities. I want all of us to do our part in helping the innocent, not just stick with out own order and help each other, but to help others as well.

Maybe it could be something bigger. All big things started small and worked their way up.

Make sure you like the initials of the Order as well. You'll read, write, and be known by the initials more than the real name!

I had thought of different names here and there. It's really a group for mystics and magic users and the person doesn't necessarily have to belong to a religion, although usually the ones that are religious or spiritual are more likely to practice magic or at least believe in it or psionics for that matter

I would hope it can become bigger so that we may help others. Protecting someone from harmful energies, blessing haunted areas and so forth. I just want us to do more and to let others know that such power exists But us having different beliefs should not stop us. People with different beliefs work together all the time. In the order, it's not about doing a specific thing and following certain rules or beliefs, it's about helping one another and the innocent. One may do things differently, but I don't think it should matter as long as it helps someone. Someone may prefer to work with angels as opposed to tree spirits or prefer to use their mind to move things as opposed to certain rituals but as long as an innocent is helped, that's all that should matter, and it'd be a learning experience. I always thought different religions were like different puzzle pieces and when put together, you have a better frame of reference of what's going on. That angels aren't the only beings that exist, and that there are tree spirits, devas and so forth
