'Creation and the Persistence of Evil'

I was wondering, has anyone ever read this book - 'Creation and the Persistence of Evil - The Jewish Drama of Divine Omnipotence' by Jon D. Levonson, you can read a bit of it on Google Books as well. The reason I'm asking is, I saw this book ages ago on the internet, and, from the parts I've read on Google Books, it did seem interesting, and, I was just wondering, if other people would recommend it at all?, is it worth reading?, is it a good book about Jewish responses to evil (like how it's perceived, etc)?. Is the author a good one?, etc.

I'd appreciate any help you can.

Yes! Jon Levenson is very quality scholarship! I don't always agree with all his conclusions, but he is brilliant, and definitely worth reading! I think he teaches at Harvard or Yale or BC or some other big old East Coast school. He's serious. Excellent choice, David!
