I don't need your contempt. I just wanted a simple answer. I'm sure that there are some who do believe in these layers of hell. I was just wondering if some of you know any who do believe that Hell has layers.I can state it like this:
I've never heard of a Christian, either historical or contemporary, that believed Dante described a literal descent into hell as described in the Inferno and depicted in your illustration - much less believed that it was somehow true.
I've never even heard of someone willing to embarass themselves with such a question.

What is this for?

Are there any Christians on here, or in your own life, who believe that the descent to Hell is the way it's described in Dante's Inferno. Just for a refreshment of memory...
When someone asks a question like this, it just looks like you're fishing for someone stupid enough not to know anything about the Inferno and shallow enough to "believe it." You came across as more than just a little patronizing.
Oh, I see. It abundantly clear that you did not ask that question. If I may refresh your memory:
That's quite a difference from asking if one believes that Hell has layers.
Yes, yes. I do apologize for coming off all snappy. And if I did I did not mean to be patronizing.
