Death to the desert god?

Just as the world needs deserts, mountains, and coasts, we need desert faiths and mountain faiths and coastal faiths and urban ones. What is the point of faith if it does not reflect the whole of the human landscape? And I reject the notion that one can talk about Christianity or Islam as though they were all one faith body. Common origin does not imply common substance, and these very large faith bodies have adapted to many local situations over the centuries.
I guess you have a point. I do think Judaism and Islam are pretty interesting but I have to reason to believe in their forms of god because I have no proof for it and they want to wipe out other religions I see it appropriate to retaliate.

If you disapprove of this behavior in their case, why would you not disapprove of behaving similarly yourself? We should always be consistent in our moral principles, if we can. I understand defense against an external threat, but not imitation.

I agree with you.

I don't work that way. I try but I am truthfully not good at it naturally.
