On the way to pick up an antique drill press for an
out of state friend, a deer leapt in front'o me car.
I was already slowing down cuz I saw another.
Dint slow down enuf. Bang! Bump bump.
(At least the airbag dint deploy.)
But poor Sienna....looks like well over $10k damage.
Deer is dead. Sienna is at a body shop.
I have full coverage....for those of you worried
about my finances.

This was neither the time of year or time of day
for high risk of hitting deersie weersies.
I plan to start driving more slowly on roads with
stands of trees along them. But I hate learning
things the hard way.

On my return trip (different tow vehicle), I passed its carcass.
Likely no one will harvest it.

Deer are particularly dense in this rural area.
(I dint know it til I talked to others....all of
whom have hit deer, or had deer hit them.)

Same thing happened to me early February. The car (the shopping trolly) is a write off. The deer ran off.

The tow truck drive thought mine repairable.
No structural damage. I sure hope so.
This deer's running days are over.
The trailer & drill press are both fine.

This was the spendiest car we've ever owned.
Over $40K....& that was used with 42K miles on it.

The shopping trolly was the least spendy car we've owned, i just realised, the repair costs are more than we paid for the car 14 years ago. It had over 1/4 million kilometres on the it back then.

I take it you're ok. Which is the more important outcome over finances. Besides, I take it for granted that you a groundskeeper of great wealth.

A woman I use to work with was driving home one night, in her Saturn. Saw a Buck in the road, so she stopped.... the deer did not move...then all of a sudden it charged the car, slammed into her drivers side door and fell to the ground..... after a few seconds, it stood up, turned, and walked back into the woods.... smashed her door in though
