Isn't it annoying when someone tells you to act normal?
I don't think theres any one standard of normality ( or lack thereof ) in any person I have ever met. So how has this stupid saying come to be?

It's defined by what society sees as how average people behave during any given situation...
It's not right, and I find it pointless to accuse people of being themselves (offering support is a much better solution)... but that's where it comes from. Oh the wonders of society...
Like a tree that sways in the wind to stay intact, we as a society have learned to accept some of the prior taboos as normal while remaining faithfully skeptical to other notions that equally challenge our perception of normalcy. Normalcy is a concept that constantly and continously evolves, bends, and caters our needs as they come. The concept of normalcy will never be defined so long as there are differences in opinions amogst humans; thus for as long as mankind exists. Don't know why anyone would want to try.
