Democrats are upset Trump didn't lock down borders tighter faster?

Like build a wall around the whole country? Stronger, tighter, faster?

Doesn't seem consistent
Seems more politically opportune

Democrats are upset that Trump dismantled the pandemic response team for no other reason than Obama built it.

Democrats are upset that Trump ignored his own experts and downplayed the severity of coronavirus for weeks.

Democrats are upset that Trump continues to make false statements about things like the availability of testing.

Democrats are upset that the Trump has done very little by way of social distancing within the administration or domestically, instead focusing on border control for foreigners, which was pointless when it was returning American citizens who likely brought in the disease. Such as the cruise ship passengers he ordered home.

Democrats are upset that Trump continuously demonstrates he is not equipped to handle this crisis, remains slow to be educated and educate, and quick to deflect and diminish.

A wall wouldn't have done ****. Closing the borders tight in a hurry would have. And I think the two situations are just a smidgeon of a bit different. Maybe a bit to much to even accurately compare in such a way.

No that was Trumps idea that was not funded. Trump said we need to build a wall around the US that the virus could not get over and make the virus pay for the wall.

When Trump closed the border down with Mexico I thought "why?" It makes no sense. Of all the measures the government can take to address this crisis, closing the border with Mexico is last on the list. I am a liberal Democrat and my reaction was not anger but bewilderment.

If you ever decide to come back down to Earth instead of living in your delusional right wing world in outer space, this is an example of what good government looks like:

Andew Cuomo for president!!!!

Only makes good sense.
Provided you have a mask that you can sanitize and use again.
Medical grade masks are single use. Trying to sanitize them will either not work or break them down too much to be reliable. Kind of like trying to reuse medical gloves.

There are in fact medical grade masks and gloves that are reusable.
They are bloody expensive though.
typically more than $100 each.

The real issue here is that there is realistically not enough time to sterilize the reusable masks and gloves between uses.

thus the industry has gone over to disposable gloves and masks because they are cheap enough to use once and throw away.
so they save not only time, but money.

Thus the reason I flat out said "Provided you have a mask that you can sanitize and use again."

Can't say I'm surprised. Pence is in the task force response team, and Pence has severally downplayed the risks of smoking. So health is clearly not something they understand or comprehend that well, and not concerned with learning real things about it.

Democrats are upset because he is handling the crisis well and surveys show most Americans believe he is.

Then it better be tried before the November elections since the Democrats may not be in control of the House after that.

I think Democrats should focus on solutions and not rhetoric rhetoric rhetoric ( read as outlandish silly claims by AOC et al) but that's just my opinion.
