I'd like to compare and contrast the different takes on this from different religions and perspectives. Feel free to introduce similar concepts from other religions.

I'm looking for the chaos and order in what we might call The Way.

Thanks!

What do you mean by 'chaos' and 'order' please?
How we agree and disagree on the different perspectives of The Way, its source, its applications (top down or bottom up) etc. (Our confusion regarding it, in other words.)

Ah.

In that case, I offer Sengcan!

'It's not difficult to discover your Buddha Mind
But just don't try to search for it.
Cease accepting and rejecting possible places
Where you think it can be found
And it will appear before you.'

The Tao and nibbana are beyond concepts. I guess the chaos comes in when we try to conceptualize The Way. We not only lose the Way, but we also lose our freedoms and sponteneity.
