"God will protect us. If you're worried about global warming, then you don't have enough faith in God."

Couple of years ago, once in a blue moon I'd listen to Joel Osteen. The first time I heard him, he said (as I try to quote):

If you believe in god, you will give to the church. The we are the church, the body, and the pastor is the head of the church (lower c-) So, if you give money to the church, you give money to me where I buy a new suite and give you the word as presented.

I know I botched that up. But the messages was on tithing. "If you give tithes, you give to buy me a new suit to preach to you are as a head member of the church [in style]."

If you like Steve Harvey comedy, you (guys) probably like this. It's rated -R, so here ya go:

Jim Bakker:
Bakker pointed to a map that showed the results of the election by county and said that “if you live in the blue—any spot that’s blue—I would say, ‘Oh God, help me. Oh God forgive me.’ Because those are the ones who came against the will of God in this election.”

“I just want to tell you, God has spoken to me, I’ve seen under the ground in California, in LA, and God spoke to me that in Los Angeles alone there is going to be such an earthquake come that literally the big buildings will be laying on their sides, all of LA is going to collapse,” he added.

bakker was a bad one. i dont agree with using the church to influence politics. when you study politics it doesn't take long to see both sides are completely corrupt.
my mamaw loved jim she always called him a little chipmunk.
