Hi. I am a young woman. I am on a journey to find a faith, but I hold the practice of Unitarian Universalism close to me. I was born and raised UU.
I came to notice in my community two trends.
1.) UU "converts" usually have a disparaging opinion of Christianity that "cradle UUs" do not.
2.) Those born and raised UU have a much higher chance of identifying as queer than adult converts. I thought it would be the opposite: converts are queer, hence coming into an accepting community, but those born into it have no choice in the matter and will be queer at random.
