Different than others?

Spirit of Light

What is your view of people who clearly do draw attention to them self by being different than the norm? In how they dress, how their hair is and so on.

Personally I don't see it as a wrong thing sunce they probably have confidence in them self and dont care what other people ssy about them

I used to be shy and always afraid of what others thought of me.
Here i am in the town wesring blue nail polish as a straight guy :) but so far not a single negative comment from anyone.

How about you?

People can express themselves as they wish when it comes to their appearance. Who am I to judge?

I remember that at our core we are the same. And then the outside differences are just different expressions.

Like in nature, I also like diversity
Our true nature shines the same

But isn't deliberately standing out to get attention all about what others think of you? I mean, if you didn't care, why bother?

Doesn't showing the world (other people) how unique you are mean that you want them to know? How is that not caring what they think of you?

Just curious.

It depends on motivation for what they do. Often it's not as simple as drawing attention to yourself, but there is an underlying reason. It might seem like attention seeking behavior, but we never know the motivation of others. I'm fine with anything, although attention seekers can get mildly annoying. Life is deeper than getting attention. That behavior speaks to different deeper problem.

I think with our "everyone can be famous" YouTube society, people's egos are fed and they try to get attention. People should be true to themselves without the need to be flamboyant. Just being different in society is more accepted, which is fine, but trying to call attention to yourself is just ego stroking. IMO...

Who draw attention to themselves or who need to draw attention to themselves?

The former may range from simply idiosyncratic to artistic while the latter are atypically needy.
