I shared this thought on discord but misery loves company so imma share it here.

I teach daycare. I can get two year olds to wash their hands when they go to the bathroom. They may need some prompting to make sure they do it right but they know how to. Because i taught them to it wasnt difficult. However there are grown adults who don't wash their hands.

Isnt that lovely?(sarcasm)

Men are gross. But I still like them for some reason? :tearsofjoy:
Oh men are known for this yes but I've used both bathrooms. This is a problem with both men and women. I've seen a surprising number of women not wash hands.

I was once a landlord specializing in student housing,
particularly renting out houses to groups.
I observed.
All male: Messy
All female: Less messy, but still messy.
Mixed: Least messy...sometimes even neat & clean.

It's possible those adults haven't been taught. That does happen.
Those same adults won't teach their children, so that's how that cycle goes.
Even if they do try to teach their children, the children would be like, "Well you don't, so why should I?".

Fair but i'd say as an adult if you know washing your hands prevents the spread of germs and is considered to lessen the chances of getting sick then you should try and learn how to and get into the habit. For the sake of lessening the spread of disease in general.

True, but how many people do you find have a mentality you can say "Yeah. I understand that."?
I find myself wondering about the mentality of many individuals.
