Do aliens exist?

What I believe separates the thought that there aliens are a rational concept.
What do you think?

That there is (or has been) some form of life developing on other planets seems extremely likely. That any is sentient life, less likely. That any has a similar level of intelligence and technical development, less so again. That any has the desire and ability to interact with us in any meaningful manner is getting much less likely.

Look at it this way - throughout the billion-year life time of the planet Earth, the vast, vast majority of time there has been no life at all and it is a miniscule proportion of that time that humans have been around to be consciously aware of any alien visitors or communications and even now, only in a limited manner. Even if a particular planet is capable of generating and supporting life, it's still a massive long short to catch it at any meaningful point.

In short, single-cell organisms in some pool of liquid out there, probably. Little green men in flying saucers, probably not.

Well, this is interesting.

What is that Christian argument, intelligent life.

The possibility that Aliens found the planet, through infinite space and time Terra forming the place with life, well, that's a possibility, right?

The other more acceptable theory by scientists, is that during the primordial period on earth, lightning, and chemical reactions created life, which simply prospered randomly. However they are still trying to reproduce this chaotic answer in the lab.

Sure be nice if they found some life on Mars, Europa, or Ceres, or even Titan, Titan if you ask me is a prime candidate.

I am rather certain that other lifeforms exist. Its more likelier than that we'd be alone. Each star has several planets, each galaxy has billions of stars, each universe has trillions of galaxies, and the theorized multiverse has possibly infinite amount of universes. To say that aliens do not exist as a fact equals as blind faith to me.

Not that any of this matters, really. We have more pressing matters in human society :D

Pretty much sure Aliens exist in this massive universe. Pretty much sure they have never been to earth. Pretty much sure we will never meet them face to whatever they have. Perhaps a robot though.

The statistics display it as being almost impossible for nothing else to exist. Even if it is a some long lost space frozen STD or something on an astroid. Not intelligent design. We speak of intelligent life. Well something around our thought process.

no more unbelievable then the existence of a God.

Think about it, why don't show themselves people say, well why doesn't God.

This.

Thank you for demonstrating a complete lack of understanding of what theists believe God actually is, and for subscribing to a caricature of theism.

Saddening part of it all is, that because of the vast nature of reality, which most likely knows no borders, getting to meeting these other guys will take insane amounts of time. I also hold that no contact has ever been made yet, and quite likely humanity will have plenty of chances to wipe itself out before a chance of contact arises.

I don't think we have made contact yet. It would be cool if we had, but I see no rational reason to believe it.

And I think if we do get to meet aliens, we have three choices:

Safari Hunter Cosmonauts, like the "Yautja" in the movie Predator
A spaceship-bound species who have been travelling the universe for aeons, consuming all resources on planets within their wake for millenia
Space Jehovah's Witnesses

While I do not know if they exist or not, I would be far more surprised, and even greatly disappointed, if it turns out Earth is the only one with intelligent life.

people have seen ufos, these people include astronauts, civilian pilots, military pilots, military personnel

these ufos could be man-made, top secret aircraft known to only a few
or they could be piloted or controlled by "aliens"

these aliens could come from outer space,
or maybe they are from earth itself - maybe they have bases underground, or beneath our oceans
or maybe these aliens come from other dimensions

I think it would be cool if aliens exist. I believe something might be out there, I just do not think I would say it is the little green men though. I suppose I could be wrong.

It may sound absolutely insane but I believe in the existence of reptilian life and greys. I believe they have lived among us for centuries, that they born the concept of magick, and that they are more intelligent life than our own, the real question is: Do they come in peace?
