Do Christians love Jews and other questions?

Yeah Pilate consulted the Jews for all his decisions.;)

Is there any proof that the Romans did NOT consult the local Jewish authorities for such local decisions, especially considering that they allowed them such great leeway at the time to enforce their own law as long as they obeyed the Roman government overall?

How is this not the same as "yeah, well prove god does not exist"?

Because it's an assertion about Roman practices which basically kind of defies what we already know about them, especially considering that they allowed Jewish Law to go on and let the Jews handle their own affairs for the most part. The Romans were simply the "go to" authorities as far as local grievances were concerned. The very basis for the Jewish revolt around 66-70 was because the Romans started cracking down from what was a mostly laissez-faire approach around 30-64. Julius Caesar granted them pretty much religious autonomy and this had its ups and downs with various emperors trying to impose their will on the Jews, it seems that they let the King and the regional authorities do their thing. So long as the Denariuses were being collected by the Tax collectors and no one was preaching rebellion, the local "Judges" were in charge.

Despite questions on the historicity of Acts, the basic framework is pretty historical. For example, Paul was able to object to local religious accusations against him by taking his case to the Emperor as a Roman citizen. This demonstrates that it was most likely a locally governing body which did most of the work, except in cases where Roman Law was being directly violated, such as in an accusation that he was stirring trouble against the Roman authorities.

Addtionally, though I disagree with Pauls' epistles, I think there's no reason to doubt that the synagogue leaders were given authority to administer Lashings as he accounts was done to him.

It can be argued that if the Gospel account is accurate, Pilate was simply ceding to the will of the people to prevent any trouble even though he did not think Jesus was violating Roman Law, or his interpretation of Jewish Law for that matter.

Thank you for the explanation.

According to the Rabbinical interpretation of such, as well as determination of what the prophecies are supposed to be in the first place.

It is important to recognize the difference between the "Rabbinical/"Normative Judaism" understanding of the Prophecies, and what the text says, and the idea that they're not exactly as clear cut as many would like to think, as well as the fact that we don't know which verses are and aren't a Messianic prophetic interpretation, if they are poetic and hyperbole, if they are to be fulfilled over a very long period of time or not, and what the exact meaning of them, or even the exact translation of them in the first place is.

It has nothing to do with rabbinical interpretation.

The prophesies can be read- Michah 4:3 and Ezekiel 37.

Once again they are:

  • World peace
  • All the nations will worship one G-D
  • All the jews will come to Israel
  • All the jews will stay in Israel
  • One unified king of all the jews
  • The temple in jerusalem will be rebuilt and stand forever
  • Descendent of David (tribal lineage comes solely from the biological father)

It was God's will the Jews killed Jesus. So what is there to be angry with. If any Chrsitian hates jews then it is from ignorance and a false religious belief.
You are a bit confused.

The Romans killed jesus.

That´s what I think as well.

And are you saying that the Christian OT has modifications in it, so that it differs from the Hebrew texts/Hebrew Bible?

And also , if Christianity is the ´real deal´ then why don´t they just create their own book from scratch?

It´s a little like saying ´a Mercedes engine is no good´, and then shoving one in a BMW and tra la la, the best car in the world has been produced

It really doesn´t add up.
Excellent points.

The holy Scriptures need to be kept:

Mark 15:
9 “Do you want me to release to you the king of the Jews?” asked Pilate, 10 knowing it was out of self-interest that the chief priests had handed Jesus over to him. 11 But the chief priests stirred up the crowd to have Pilate release Barabbas instead.

12 “What shall I do, then, with the one you call the king of the Jews?” Pilate asked them.

13 “Crucify him!” they shouted.

14 “Why? What crime has he committed?” asked Pilate.

But they shouted all the louder, “Crucify him!”

15 Wanting to satisfy the crowd, Pilate released Barabbas to them. He had Jesus flogged, and handed him over to be crucified.

It's wrong and concerning that there are deliberate lies there.

The romans were cruel oppressors against the jews.

They didn't consult with the jews in their decisions nor did they care about their opinions.

The way they kept people in line is by killing anyone who was a nuisance.

They couldn't enforce their own laws because the jewish court didn't exist when Israel didn't have it's own government.

How about that Pilate was recalled because he was too blood thirsty. Based on the romans being such harsh oppressors that's saying a lot.

I don’t understand. Why wait for the Messiah to bring all the Jews to Israel? Why don’t the Jews go there now and wait for him? Maybe cause he traveled all the way from Heaven to Earth he racked up tons of frequent flier miles and buys all the Jews a plane ticket. It’s just a thought. Maybe the guy is frugal.

Maybe they believe the Messiah is going to teleport them all there or use magic mind control to break their stubborn attachment to the land or buy them all tickets or something. All at once. Overnight.

Pilate was recalled specifically for massacring a Samaritan prophet and his disciples.

So you're saying that when Julius Caeser granted the Jews religious freedom, for all those years, they had no way to enforce their own laws. What history book are you using?

The fulfillment of the future prophecies is an event that won't be subtle. Once I see them starting to occur: turning away from idols to G-d and global peace, I will relocate my family to Israel.

The Quran confirm the above prophesy:

7-4 وَقَضَيْنَا إِلَى بَنِي إسْرائِيلَ فِي الْكِتَابِ لَتُفْسِدُنَّ فِي الْأَرْضِ مَرَّتَيْنِ وَلَتَعْلُنَّ عُلُوًّا كَبِيرًا

And We gave (Clear) Warning to the Children of Israel in the Book, that twice would they do mischief on the earth and be elated with mighty arrogance (and twice would they be punished)!

[...]

And We said thereafter to the Children of Israel, "Dwell securely in the land (of promise)": but when the second of the warnings came to pass, We gathered you together in a mingled crowd.

(Holy Quran Chapter 7)
