"Russians" (presumably the general population?) or "Russia" (presumably the government?)
As there are different views of Russia among different Americans and others, so too there must be different views among different Russians about those of other countries.I was just curious how Russia views Germany, Italy, the Brits, America's... Do they look down on us or are we perceived as interesting, equals, advanced, behind the times..?
...I have no idea how they generally view the West.
Militarily yes.I was just curious how Russia views Germany, Italy, the Brits, America's... Do they look down on us or are we perceived as interesting, equals, advanced, behind the times..?

I have met several russians they are people with hopes and fears like everyone else
Quite willing to invite westerners to beach parties, share food and drink, laugh and joke.
Have you ever noticed them to be instinctively different in any way?
No.
Like I said, they are people just like everyone else
then again, I've noticed that the French can be a little pushy too at times, unlike my perception of the Brits, Irish, Scots, who I view as socially hyper-relaxed like myself.
Well, I know they're people, it's just that I've met some Bosnians, Russians and Middle Easterners, and sometimes they're kind of pushy and with the Russian, she seemed a little presumptuous in trying to make controversies against people, which I viewed as a kind of deception that is opposite to my style... My style in real life is mostly a hyper-relaxed treatment towards others.
But I digress, my point is only to understand their perception of us Westerners.

I see far-Westerners as less likely to intrude in people's personal business... But maybe this is just my perspective based on personal experiences.
Well, you and i could never agree on many points. And you will find some Americans on this forum with precisely the same attributes.
Have you met any italian-american union boys? I have quite a few in my family and they are the definition of pushy.
