Do you believe in angels?

I was unsure where exactly I should post this - so move it if you feel that is better.

Just wondering about whether people believe in angels - esp Guardian angles.

I found this from Ann Albers who claims to communicate with angels -

My dear friends, we love you so very much,

When you see pain and violence in your world, it is all too easy and very human to fall into fear, anger, or despair. However, every time you witness "bad news" you are being given an opportunity to love. You are being given a chance to be the lightworker that you truly are.

In this reality "although you walk in the valley of the shadow of death, you shall fear no evil." You can, amidst even the hells of the world, be the light, the truth, and the comforting presence of heaven.

Sometimes I kind of think people are sort of like vessels for angelic or demonic spirits but most of the time I think that is isn't helpful to me to think of the world in those terms. And it certainly isn't helpful to me to go around talking about the world in those terms. People would think of me as a creep and a freak if I did that.

I believe in the existence of angels, They are servants and messengers of God and always give glory to God the Creator. There are accounts in the scriptures of angels initiating contact with human beings to accomplish God's work, but it is not wise to seek out contact with angels, for even Satan can appear as an angel light for the purpose of deceiving someone with false information and misleading them.

They are beings who represent God to humans

But I don't think they necessarily have wings, halos or wear white robes, I think they most likely appear that way because that's what people expect

Some mothers can feel "it" when something is wrong with their child.
My Master many times came to my rescue.
Angels came just a few times.

For me it is a natural phenomena.
Makes life interesting.

Sure, I believe in angels. My daughter is one. An acquaintance, who is like an elder sister to me, is another. Male angel - my father - with a few blemishes, but that is OK.

I find it odd how these servants and messengers are entirely absent in the modern day.

Not wise to seek them? You don't have to listen to their advice.

Not correct. You had Joseph Smith (LDS), Bahaullah (Bahai) and Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (Ahmadiyyas) among the notables recently. In India, you find them dime a dozen. Many have landed in jail, Asaram, Narayan, Rampal, Gurmmet Singh, etc., mostly for rapes.

I would say it is useless to contact. They are either for money or for sex. True wise men (and women) are not that common. One should be careful.

I believe in some sort of benevolent (and even delightfully mischievous) celestial beings or spirits. I don't know if they are angels in the Abrahamic sense. They might be lesser devas, bodhisattvas, enlightened but not yet liberated souls, and the like.

There is a selection from the Baha'i Writings on the subject of "angels" that I'll share here:

"Ye are the angels, if your feet be firm, your spirits rejoiced, your secret thoughts pure, your eyes consoled, your ears opened, your breasts dilated with joy, and your souls gladdened, and if you arise to assist the Covenant, to resist dissension and to be attracted to the Effulgence!
