Witnessing and proselytizing are not the same thing.

Witnessing is simply sharing one's experiences with others. If they are interested, they will pay attention and seek more information ON THEIR OWN - and one stands ready to continue to give them the information they seek.

Proselytizing is more forceful - and much less effective.

Also - proselytizing doesn't necessarily include witnessing. What I mean by that is that one can proselytize about things one hasn't even experienced or has no actualy first hand knowledge about. It's just spouting a set of beliefs or opinions.

Witnessing is sharing what one's experiences have been - experiences which validate a belief system.

I don't believe that witnessing is against forum rules.
