Almost every female I had a crush on through out my life was or became an Atheist except three. The woman I have a crush on now is not an atheist but not religious either but spiritual type. My luck... I dated two atheists only to later find out they were atheists.

While each has his flaws, I like: Christopher Hitchens, Sam Harris, Richard Dawkins, and Daniel Dennett. I don't agree with everything they've ever said, but I usually agree with them. I think Ayaan Hirsi Ali is also an atheist? If so, she'd be on my list.

As with anyone who has spoken in the public eye for a long time, it's easy to find some moments when they said something controversial. I prefer to take the broader view and to not confuse the message with the messenger.

Actually i think professor Brian Cox is pretty cool.

But Terry Pratchett has to be my favourite

If "atheist" includes being non-theistic (agnostic), I put forth the Dalai Lama followed by Buddhist monk Matthieu Ricard and then Stephen Hawking.

Right, and in that vein, I'd add Ram Dass!
