Very tasty...

Really thought yes, they are pretty and flit around.

To many years ago i holidayed on the island of Rhodes. There is a park called the valley of the butterflies. If anyone gets to Rhodes the park is a must see.

Butterflies
Numbers of species.
Due to their bright colors and visits to flowers, butterflies are the most familiar of insects to humans. There are about 17,500 species of butterflies in the world, and around 750 species in the United States.

Yes. They are spiritually symbolic, too. They've always seemed to be drawn towards me, and I've especially been seeing them a lot lately. When I was a kid playing in Alamo Square Park in San Francisco, a bunch of butterflies and I were apparently playing, and chasing each other back and forth. My mother was always impressed by that and mentioned it a lot.

I've also raised some of them from caterpillars I got from the conservatory here. It was always nice to see them emerge from the cocoon and let them out, seeing them fly away.

I live in Goleta Ca. which is a favorite stop-over on the Monarch butterfly's migration path from Central Mexico.

In the 90s I actual lived in the little eucalyptus grove where they gather every year, and it looked just like this ^.

I had no idea it was one of their resting/nesting spots until I
woke up one morning to find the usually green forest now mostly black and red. It was something to see.

Absolutely, I feel like God put them on Earth to remind us of the Resurrection. An old mentor of mine died recently. I was sitting on the front porch kind of grieving and looked up and saw a monarch flying up the driveway, and was reminded that my friend is not dead only transformed.
